it's actually "faith fell short this time" the story behind it: mark and tom went into two separate rooms and wrote two separate songs. When they came out and traded they realized they both wrote about sex. Tom's was about doing the deed and Mark's was about the long term affects. The part like "look to the past" through to "i'll always be dreaming of you" is written by both of them. It's about the insance after, when both partners try to fall asleep. |

The whole thing with writing music, and i speak from experience, is that no matter what you try to write about whatever's on your mind eventually comes out, and i fyou've ever been in love you know that that person is ALWAYS on your mind. His intentions in writing the song are Christmas-y, but he's obviously thinking about someone. Or he's thinking from another person's point of view, but his feelings are portrayed through that person, although unintended. |
