For some reason, the song reminds me of the sunrise, a star in the morning. Seriously, go out and watch the sunrise. The colors all melt together so perfectly ("melting wall"?) and sometimes you can still see stars in the morning, glowing through the sunrise. The star, or person, whichever you want to compare it to at this point, doesn't want to fade away, it wants to be remembered like the rest. Perhaps it's been neglected before. "And I don't want to die tonight; will you believe in me? And I don't want to fall into the light." I don't want to leave tonight, will you believe in me so that I can be strong? I don't want to fall into the light that comes with the morning. "Will you wish upon?" Also reminds me of a shooting star. Maybe it wants to be wished upon, to be beautiful, to be noticed. There are some points where the star, such an abstract object, seems so human, so that both theories seem to meld together. So many different meanings exist for this song, but none of them are right. |
