at the show last night, gabe said "this song is about loving a girl so fucking much that you tied her up and lock her in your basement" but he said it really fast, and i was the only one of my friends to catch it, and i started laughing, but i fell in love with the song. i dunno, it reminds me of someone who loves a girl so much, but can't find a way to express it right. |

this song always reminds me of chuck palahniuk's book survivior at that one part when he's like

this song reminds me of fight club cuze the line "We only do it for the scars and stories" that's almost directly from the book, i'm surprised no one metioned it. it also sounds like they are saying that everyone is going to hell. "everyone deserves the flames, but it's such a shame" i really love this song, though, one of my favorites. i love this stanza:

omg i love this song. it needs a music video. i'll make it! um okay. i think this song is about a relationship because it's like he found "the perfect girl" and now he's all happy etc. wait i just forgot where i was going with this... oh yeah. okay so he's like all depressed like noseovertail said and so when he meets her, he can think and everything again. this has to be my favorite song on this album. |

i got it off of limewire. it's actually pretty good, but it's obvious that he's really improved from whenever this was recorded. i actually really like this song now. it seems really typical of someone like brendon to write a song like this, but not typical in a bad way, just that a lot of teens write stuff like this, but since it's brendon, well, that changes everything...

this song is so beautiful. i love the imagery. it's really a poem as well as a song. i think it's about someone who is depressed and hates themselves, but se is saying they are perfect and they don't believe her. i think a lot of people can relate to this song. i envy her talent for writing songs. is is incredible. |

OMG whoever mistook patrick for brendon, i just have to say wow. if that was brendon, i would have died of happiness, and i would have noticed it within seconds. Since it is actually patrick, i have to say he does an amazing job in this song and i love his voice. this song is definately about a dream someone can never finish, a feeling everyone has exerienced. When i first heard this song, it freaked me out. I knew from other bright eyes songs that conor sure as hell doesn't believe that life's so pretty and beautiful. I guess it makes more sense what Fadingreflection sadi in the very beginning about it not being too happy. |

This song is everything to me. It could be a break up song, but right now it is a love song. If you think about it, if the lovers are tied together, drowning/burning in their innocence/arrogence, it's volent, but in a sick obsessive way could be romantic. I mean, they'll be together forever. And the part about the girl named lover, that is beautiful. That is is love. Except that she's gone. I guess, in the context it isn't a love song, but i would sing it as a love song |
