I'm pretty sure it's about a guy getting dumped. The guy has doubts about it because it's a big deal. It was the guy's fault and he should have saw it coming. I cant figure out why she left him, but whatever the reason it also attracted her in the first place. Something stuck out about him like some bright orange pumps perhaps. "Maybe it's how she fell [in love with him]". The guy's hurt but he should get over it. Maybe the relationship it wasn't so great anyway. |

He had to leave his lady because he was looking for something more exciting. He wants her to get her motor running and be as reckless as him. This drove her away. Ronnie is.... celebrity he wants to see. |

It looks like it's about a guy who is embarassed to love someone. He gets defensive to anyone who asks him about it. Maybe the person he is in love with is a runaway, encountering trouble wherever she goes. Maybe she just comes from a bad family. Maybe the 'heal your wounds' part means that he used to love someone but can't let go. |

| Kaizers Orchestra – Bak Et Halleluja Lyrics

All the Kaizers Orchestra song meanings (and translations) you could ever need are right here under the [English] sections: http://www.freewebs.com/kaizersinst/lyrics.htm
The album is not in chronological order, but it roughly follows one storyline. Marcello Conradas is the sailor in the songs Dekk Bord, Bøn fra Helvete, and Ompa til du Dør. The Mafia, run by Mr. Kaizer, often meets in Marcello’s cellar for drinks, music, and Russian roulette.
Bak et Halleluja is about Dominique, whose job was to protect Tony Fusciante. Tony decided to play Russian roulette (in Rullett) and died. Now, Dominique is in trouble and pleads to the mafia priest Father Martin to help him. Martin tells Dominique to find a double for Tony, run away, and start a new life. Though, in the end, Father Martin still tells Monsieur Clavier for the irresistible reward.
170 and Bris do not follow this storyline. They just describe two military stories. Perhaps those are related to the characters in the cellar, it’s not clear. |
