I loved this song from the first time I heard it...everything about it....the drums...the bass, especially that little trumpet diddy...the guitar....I think this is one of Anthony Kiedis' better songs--vocally--i mean. BUT my absolute favorite thing is the last verse...Keidis' lyrics "every little princess needs a crown/ make more of life, settle down" LOVE IT....AND I think this contains John Frusciante's most beautiful, melodic background vocals....they just entrance me. Shoulda definitely been on Stadium Arcadium. |

I love this song and everything about it...minus the end chickanery or w/e you wanna call it. I like John Frusciante's cover SOOO much better. I had a g/f Emilie (dif spelling) she said she had no idea what the song was about until she heard the "Oh, I love you girl..." at the end...but it was the JF cover. |

I agree with kizzykaz...for the most part... to me i just use it as " I'm _____ as can be " whatever you're feeling just feel that way to the highest extent you can so that it's true....happy, sad, mad, depressed, etc... one of my favortite of his songs... |

I love this song. I agree with the whole suicide thing or just wanting to get away from everything and not have to care or worry. But, I thought the last lines were alway IT'S SURE BEEN A FULL LIFE FOR ME. |

1st I wish more people would comment this absolutely GREAT song. 2nd..to me, I can decipher the first 4 lines but after that i'm lost...so here goes what it means to me... I am hopeful for you... --He wishes some luck or something like that. Go from one to a few... --The previous, a girl maybe, broke up with him and is going out with other people. Train the horses I ride... --OK in some kind of western philosiphy horses are used to symbolize the senses or something...SOOO he's trying to control his emotions. Cut the air with a knife... --Now there's soo much tension he wants it to go away. Does that seem the slightest bit reasonable. |

| I don't think they use a synth on this song...it's probably Frusciante on his guitar...you can read anywhere about SA and JF work on it...he always says he really got experimental with stuff...so he probably did some insane stuff...idk tho...BEAUTIFUL SONG!! | |
