alright im sorry but i need to clear this up once and for all..the lead singer has this to say "The fact that "The Way" exists at all is a study in irony. Scalzo, who had been suffering from writer's block, was inspired after reading a newspaper account of a missing elderly couple who were late for a family reunion and wrote "The Way" as his romantic happy-ending version of the pair's story. (Real life, as always, was less cooperative, as Scalzo followed the story and eventually learned that the unfortunate couple had been found dead in their car in the bottom of a ravine.)" |
