The song is about his brother. He wrote it thinking about what it would be like if he was still alive. It also about calling out to God for closure when someone dies, and part of it was inspired by the person that first shared their faith with Trevor. He did an interview and explained the meaning of this song. I think anyone who has lost someone can relate though =) |

I absolutely love this song! I'm relatively young, and haven't really experienced a lot of heartbreak regarding boyfriends, but I have had a lot of problems with my dad (or lack there of) and these lyrics really explain how I feel. 'its kinda sad that i have learned to deal with this like this' As a teenager, I really do feel like I shouldn't have to close up to deal with crap like this, and neither should anyone else. I know this isn't what the lyrics are about, but it really hits home for me |
