my god this song is heartwrenching. one of my favorite songs ever. breaks my heart. i think of my ex everytime and i'm always on the verge of tears. i think it's just about wanting to give up on love because it causes so much hurt, but you'll always remember them as the best you've ever had. always love them. |

honestly, this is probably my most favorite song ever. nickelback isn't my favorite band and usually i like more jam bandish groups like moe., grateful dead or sublime but this song is beautiful. it breaks me heart.
i think it's about a guy who leaves his girlfriend and realizes how much he loves her when it might be too late. but he's willing to try. reminds me of my ex.

my ex-boy and i have been on and off you could say for months now. we have been unofficially "together" once or twice and talk almost everyday. this song explains my recent sitaution with him perfectly. this song is about two people once in love, and still are, who just had a falling out. i think when two people who are broken up still wish it had worked out, they become angry towards one another. we started fighting and not speaking to eachother, and talked "trash" about one another. then a few weeks ago we made up and i realized he will always be there. he never really leaves. |

i mostly agree with igann92, my boyfriend broke up with me but we still talk almost everyday and he hasnt really let me go. i still love him and i think he wishes it were easier to "untie" these ties we have, but it's not. maybe in time we'll be together again. |

my ex-boyfriend had this song in his profile shortly after we broke up. we still talk almost everyday since and have been, "together", not officially since then. we had an amazing relationship and when summer came it fell apart, but he never let me go. he still hasn't and i think this song is saying we're done but i still love you. and you never know what the future holds. |
