| Dance Gavin Dance – Burning Down the Nicotine Armoire Pt. 2 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| 3:06 is without a doubt "Check my pulse as I swallow dirt" | |
| Dance Gavin Dance – The Robot With Human Hair Pt. 2 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| To 'buffalo!' : And how the hell would you know if that is true or false? Are you just pulling that out of your ass? Or did you speak to him about it? | |
| Dance Gavin Dance – Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| A song doesn't need lyrics to be beautiful and hold value/meaning. Maybe if you listened to this song you'd understand my point and how it is the premise/inauguration for the entire record of 'Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean'. It sets the tone/mood of the whole EP, preparing you for what is yet to come. I hope that someone here can understand this perspective and isn't a close minded fool like the rest of you. | |
| Emarosa – It's Cold In The Shade, Let's Move To The Sun... Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This is my favorite song on 'Relativity'; which isn't saying much. | |
| Dance Gavin Dance – People You Know Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Here is what I was able to decipher... I hope someone can fill in what I was not able to understand. So i (freeze?) That time is meant, is made for me How it feels to people (less than sinking?) I got a wish, i got a wish That all of this was something special I hear your (?), I need a pill You weigh yourself until your sober This guy he said that i was a drunk (....?)body to the bitch Or i could just get a real fucking job I am a prick look at me go, I could get lucky playing some shows, Im a bitch Imma go get some new expensive shit Oh man i hurt, emotions they suck Oh just some people, I don't give a fuck 'bout that shit Ain't nobody fucking with me, man Ain't nobody fucking with me Listen as the sound of my voice, Croaking this drama across an orchestra of friendly faces Take a good look for dying concern Till my pulse (sinks?) Where did all my money go? I think I know, We're only fucking each other in bathrooms and parties Where did all my money go, I spent it all on blow You know that I fucked all my homies ho's Where did our morals go? I left them in (cabo?) My parents can pay for the abortion, you know? Who has a plan? We hold down our hands In hope for a free ride, unsuccessful endeavors (just successful endeavors?) The weight of the liars, is something too much I am to cynical to say i don't give a fuck The weight of the liars, is something too much I am too cynical to say I don't give a fuck I need money, i need clothes, I need women, I need blow! Something is very fucking wrong!!! Resting your head on your best friends sisters shoulder Your mothers job is to fuck all your neighbors Bodies thrusting, to the beat of our shame (screaming in the background) Where did all my money go? I think I know We're only fucking each other in bathrooms and parties Where did all my money go? I spent it all on blow You know that I fucked all my homies hoes Where did all my morals go? I left them in (cabo?) My parents can pay for the abortion, you know Who has a plan? We hold down our hands In hope for a free ride, unsuccessful endeavors (just successful endeavors?) Give my regard to all you shady fucks Thorn in my fucking side Loyalty, Honesty, Trust, Respect, Humility, Sincerity We are all so full of fucking shit We are all so full of fucking shit I know that every fucking person thinks that every song on the new album is about Jonny, but that is not true. This IS the only song about Jonny. I don't want any dispute here. This was John Mess' perspective on Jonny, I take it, I'm not sure, maybe the whole band. But I know for a fact that this is directed towards Jonny and no other song is. |

| Dance Gavin Dance – Uneasy Hearts Weigh the Most (feat. Nic Newsham) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is... alright, I am actually not too fond of it. It's just not the style of DGD we all know and love/are used to. But yes, I know, DGD doesn't really have a style so they can do whatever the fuck they want, I'm just voicing my opinion here. Also, this song has allowed me to realize how bland, boring, and unoriginal DGD would be without Jon. They would just sound like another mediocre pop punk/emo/indie band out there trying to make it. Jon really does complete band and make DGD what they are. You all bitch about him and what you call his 'awful' screaming so much on here, but you don't even realize what an influential/main part of this band he is. Think about it, take Jon's vocals out of the songs.. what do you have? | |
| Terminal – Not All Bad Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Ahhh the beauty of love... if only it lasted forever. | |
| Terminal – Dark Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I haven't gone a day without listening to this band since I heard 'Dark' in the beginning of October 2006. Epilohunk pretty much explained it. She ran away from him, and now both are regretting it, but shes making excuses on why it happened and creating false pretenses from other people. This song will forever be dedicated to explain my life. I cannot even gather into words what this song means to me or how I feel when I hear it. | |
| Terminal – Watching, Wasting, Waiting Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I love this song, I love anything by Terminal. Boy meets girl, girl and boy fall in love, girl breaks up with boy. The boy misses her, and wants her back; he dedicates all of his time to trying to win her over. He thinks about her constantly, unable to get her off his mind, unable to do anything else; hes 'wasting his time'. But he eventually realizes this only leading to his downfall and picks himself up after a long amount of time. Finally, when he stops noticing the girl and gives up on her, she comes back only to find the boy has moved on. Girls are bitches. | |
| Ulrich Schnauss – Goodbye Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This one of the most beautiful, yet one of the saddest, songs I've heard in a long while. I agree, its very hard to comprehend the lyrics exactly, but I don't think its about suicide. I think its more about a girl leaving a boy who loves her, he knows she'll never come back, and she was his life. Now he doesn't know what to do without her; hes 'cold', in the sense of his emotions. Amazing song. | |
| Maylene and the Sons of Disaster – Just Wanted To Make Mother Proud Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Home is where the heart is", but my heart has long been black Simply beautiful song. |
|
| Underoath – Reinventing Your Exit Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think blc43519 hit the nail on the head; perfecto. | |
| Goodbye Tomorrow – Crimson Roads Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I really cannot understand Matthew during the song when he is supposedly singing... And the letter read: “I know you can‘t help it, but try not to miss me.” Hell, I don't even know if thats what hes really saying! Can anyone else understand that part? Are there two different versions of the song? |
|
| Jonathan Edwards – Sunshine Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I can SO see this being a song about heroin; easily. | |
| Dance Gavin Dance – Untitled Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I absolutely love this song. It's so beautiful, so powerful. It's simple; its about not being able to decide in what you believe in, I'm thinking life and love. You want to give up all hope. | |
| All Time Low – Coffee Shop Soundtrack Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Instead of discussing who this band supposedly sounds like, why don't you try discussing the meaning of the song instead. This website is called 'SongMEANINGS' for a reason, not 'SongSOUNDALIKES'. In my own personal opinion, I feel this song is about a guy who was completely in love with a girl, but she ended up leaving him. Since she left him, he hasn't been able to do anything but wait around for her to come back to him. Shes in another relationship, and he starts to give up, but out of nowhere, she kisses him. He promises not to tell, but this just keeps leading him on and he's still waiting around for her. He has it firmly grasped in his mind she'll come back to him. As do I; I hope so. | |
| Loverboy – Working For The Weekend Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is so catchy; who the fuck cannot like this song? I always think of Zoolander when I hear this song. Anyways, the drug reference is a good theory. | |
| Goodbye Tomorrow – Tragedienne Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| No one else commenting... well, I'm sure we can all relate to this song, which is a god damn master piece. It's that feeling of being alone, always feeling that you don't belong. You being to ponder your existence, and you start to see things for what they are; no more sugar coated experiences. You're confused, lost, and all these thoughts of whats going on within yourself depresses you. You don't know who or what you are. You don't fit in with others, you don't relate. You can't think, you can't laugh, you can't function as you normally would; not with all these depressing thoughts and feelings within yourself. You doubt everything. | |
| Less Than Jake – Motto Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's about that one thing you can't live without, that 'keeps you sane'. Whether it be drugs, music, a girl, your cat, your pillow whatever it is. This song is about holding on to that one 'thing' and never letting it go. It's that thing you love, thats always there for you. And by the way, I just fucking love how this song starts off; magnificent intro. | |
| Goodbye Tomorrow – Carouseling Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song literally has me stuck in a rut. Maybe if you people knew your grammar and vocabulary, you'd see things my way. Loathe from the line, "But I loathe the love we had when love was something easier", means to detest, to hate. So as stated by jasonvwhateverthefuck, it doesn't mean that he missed the relationship when it was young, he despised it. So I don't know what to determine from this song. Learn your English people; please. | |
| Eric Clapton – Peaches and Diesel Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Phenomenal instrumental! To me, it gives off this pleasant, reassuring vibe; telling you everything will be alright in the end. | |
| Pink Floyd – Paranoid Eyes Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Does anyone know what the whisper is saying right after, "and if they try to break down your disguise with their questions", in the beginning? | |
| I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness – Your Worst Is the Best Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I haven't cried over a song in so long, until now. This hits too close to home. My interpretation is similar to others. Theres a relationship, a long distance relationship, where its so easy to fall apart and make mistakes. You both begin to live separate lives. One of them makes a mistake, cheating or whatever. Their arrogance and ignorance gets the best of them, they blow it off as if its nothing to their partner. But it meant everything. They can't get past this, and the cheater just walks out as if what they had was nothing. The other person moves on, slowly, and solemnly remember what they had, and reminds themself it wasn't perfect. | |
| The Used – The Ripper Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| For some reason this song reminds me of David Bowies' "Rock 'N' Roll Suicide"; lyrics wise that is. | |
| Yann Tiersen – Comtine D'un Autre Ete: L'apres Midi Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is a beautiful compostion; I am actually in the works of playing and memorizing it myself. It is much simpler than one would think. | |
