areyoulistening1, this song was played at my friend's funeral, too. he died of a brain tumor at fourteen years old ... it was really sad and like you, this song always makes me a little upset - but it was perfect. |

have any of you actually realised that fiona apple struggled with anorexia?

you could take this song a number of ways ... false hopes and such, and then she could mean 'him' to be food, or anorexia. |

I think colorblind, in this song, means to be oblivious to things around you, as in, the facts are there and you don't see what's happening, to put the pieces together. Wanting to learn what's going on, but he can't do it himself, he doesn't want help, but ne NEEDS it. It's like he is in a type of bubble isolated from all his problems - "Pull me out from inside". This might be wrong, but it's my opinion. I love this song very much and it will always be close to my heart because it reminds me of my problems, my current situation, not being able to open up much to people. Thanks. |
