As most all of you have mentioned, this song is about some guy having sex (or wanting to) with a younger girl. Really shady meaning...but an amazing song. It is my number one favorite song of all time (a close second is "Carry on my wayward son" by Kansas) and the guitar solo is nothing short of addictive. Truly incredible!

I think all of you have pretty much covered the meaning...all I can say is it may not be the world's hardest guitar solo ever, but it's still my favorite (next to the one in "My Sharona"). There's just something almost emotional about it. I'm not sure, but in any case, it's a beautiful song and the lyrics have a very good meaning!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe I'm the first to comment on this song! I can't be sure of the exact meaning, but I've always interpreted it to be about someone who's infatuated with someone else, and maybe they don't understand why. Perhaps they aren't their usual type, who knows? In any case, a great song!

This is song is truly...well, for lack of a better word, magical. I can't resist its lure. Every time it comes on I just can't help but to sing along as loud as my lung capacity permits and most commonly dance around like a complete idiot. I don't know what it is about it, I just adore the song!

Boston – More Than A Feeling Lyrics

Well, if Maryanne was someone close to Tom, then obviously this doesn't make much sense, but my interpretation of the song was always to be just of reminiscing about the past. I always pictured Maryanne to be the one from Gilligan's Island, which, to me anyway, is a distant memory, but a good one. Either way, the guitar in this song is absolutely incredible, and I applaud Tom Scholtz a million times over for his genius!
