Owen Pallett wrote this love song for the founding members of Arcade Fire- Win Butler and Regine Chassagne who are in fact husband and wife. Owen Pallet started playing with the band in 2005, but he is not actually a member of the band. I hope this clears up any confusion. |

yea i listened to that part over and over..it sounds more like retreat, although 'in the trees' would make sense, as if in the outline of the trees seen against the sky looked like crooked teeth. |

I always thought it as being related to drinking habits because of his suffering from his dying lover. Although, jinxx55's interpretation does make more sense with 'breaths' and so on. |
