| The Kooks – One Last Time Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It may not have anything to do with this, but the song makes me think of all the relationships when you're a kid that are amazing and new and how it's sad that when you grow up or move away you'll probably never see your first love again and maybe even forget all about them. | |

"If I could eat your cancer I would but I can't" reminds me of heart-shaped box by Nirvana "I would eat your cancer when you turn black" |

the song's a little annoying, but the guitar's good I thought the lyrics were stupid but I think that adds to the meaning. It seems to me that when everything on the news is shit and out of your control and there's nothing else to do, you feel kind of lame and you do little dumb things like smoke or walk around just to pass time or distract yourself and nothing seems that great anymore b/c the country's always in trouble in the background. |

| Matisyahu – WP Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| YAY!!! i was born in white plains...don't see what it has to do with this song...hm...all i really remember is ticks and miserable weather, o well, wat's it about anyway? | |
| Babyshambles – Delivery Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| the part about about leaving school seems to be a direct excerpt of "Monday Morning" by Pulp, talking about getting wasted every weekend | |

but, the protagonist could be someone besides the lead singer considering that he has "funky hair" while the singer doesnt really so the protagonist could be british, the rest of the band is English |

| Bloc Party – Where Is Home? Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
the first line "After the funeral breaking cola nuts We sit and reminisce about the past" Is this just me or is it directly from the book "Things Fall apart" After Obierika's funeral, they break cola nuts and reminisce The whole book is about the fall of Black society, so that definitely contributes to the song In the book, the second generation of an lower Niger tribe joins white religion and culture "Different worlds and different rules A question of allegiance" But i might just be conecting something common to something specific But the other verses refer to a modern setting |

I luv this song but the similarities to The Stranger are too creepy to ignore We speaks about travel Yeah we think about the land We smart like all peoples Feeling real tan In The Stranger, they talk about moving to Paris but they point out how they like tanned skin and everyone in Paris is pale It's the smiling on the package It's the faces in the sand It's the thought that moves you upwards Embracing me with two hands Right will take you places Yeah maybe to the beach When your friends they do come crying Tell them now your pleasure's set upon slow release describes the beach scene in a nutshell It spent a life span with no cellmate The long way back Sandy, why can't we look the other way? You're weightless, semi-erotic You need someone to take you there Reminds me of Meursault's feelings of "Whatever, why do you care?" In trial and in love. He doesnt get why his case matters and he thinks his relationship is careless and mainly likes the physical benefits even though hes getting married. |

| Jamie T – Sheila Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| it's actually "on the heroine" not arrow wans......he says it wacked out | |
| Jamie T – Alicia Quays Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this seems to me that it's just a tribute to him self..........you know "what am i?" and "i've been around this town since...." and when he says "my name jt" kind of a wierd song, but still good.........wat does it hav to do with alicia keys? | |
| Jamie T – Dry Off Your Cheeks Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I love this song! one of the best on the album, don't see why it doesn't get more attention, the lyrics are pretty straight forward, a guy who goes to the same club every night to see this girl and tries to win her over by dancing, all there are parts i don't get, so i could be really off | |
| Pulp – Bar Italia Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this is my favorite pulp song and i think it ends different class perfectly :D! that sounds about right, a hangover after a big night on the town, and "Lixa": wat have u been smokin? | |
| Bloc Party – SRXT Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this song is one of the best off the album it's so melancholy, and "Whill", also this is the softest song on the album so it is perfect for the outro, also it is when he finally gets to the country after all this bitchin about the city, btw "Holger" i think it's "and i laughed at her, not "loved her" | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Fake Tales of San Francisco Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| thought it was pretty obvious, it's about a loser trying to be cool by being sumthing he's not, in this case not from San Francisco | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's the most straight forward song I've heard my them, A guy whose girl is stolen by the big pretty boy at school... | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Bigger Boys and Stolen Sweethearts Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song cracks me up, it was rated in Rolling Magazine's top 100 as number 25, keep it up Chimps! | |
| Bloc Party – Like Eating Glass Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This is the first BP song I heard and one of their best. I think it's about a housewife shooting up and thinking about a relationship gone bad. |

| Bloc Party – American Kids Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
^.....^ I live in Texas but my school is international so I've met plenty of Norwegian, Saudi Arabian, French, Ethiopian and dare I say... Brittish! kids who are just as ignorant and spoilt as the children portrayed in this song... Every nation as their idiots, get over it. Anyway, this song is simple. He describes the stereo type and "In vogue this year I hate your kind" implies it's in fashion to dislike the US, which is very true. |
