Will everyone stop trying to label absolutely EVERY band! I mean honestly, what does it matter if they're emo or not??? It doesn't make any difference, it's still an awesome song, and if you don't like it, I don't know what you're doing on this board.
And anyway, My Chemical Romance have said in like a zillion interviews that they are not emo and they hate the emo scene. |

Honestly, do you have to label absolutely every band? Like, who cares if Aiden are gothic/emo? Who cares if they are a cliche? If people like their songs, then what's the point in squabbling over whether they are emo or not.

xXRADXx, I read that article in blender too =) however, I've read somewhere else too, that this is also about the patient, and it's kind of a double meaning. The concept relates to what was happening to them in real life. Kind of like what midnight_leeds said =D |

This is my favourite song off All We Know Is Falling =) I definitely think it's about a couple breaking up, but they still love each other [I agree with fuzzypenguins]- it does say "And if it ends today/I'd still say that you shine brighter than anyone" which I think is pretty direct. |

This song's great, Hayley's vocals are really good =) I think that if this is about divorce then it'd be about seeing other people's relationships fall apart and then when you fall in love, not wanting to get hurt yourself... That's just my interpretation of it though. |

I can't believe hardly anyone's commented =[ The Like are awesome! I think this song is about after having a relationship and you still feel for the person but they don't notice you anymore, and you don't want to go back to being alone. It's a really beautiful song, but really sad... |

I love this song, the contrast between the lyrics and the music is great. I read somewhere the lyrics are about them when they were "going through a dark time" or something....I think it's mostly about them trying to get a message through but no-one's listening...I kind of agree with lilyloves. |

Right my interpretation of this is...different. I think it's the patient on his deathbed, speaking to the woman he is leaving behind. "I am not afraid to keep on living/I am not afraid to walk this world alone" is the girl, who is basically saying after you die, I'm going to carry on. "Honey if you stay I'll be forgiving/Nothing you can say can stop me going home" is the patient, who is saying, if you carry on I'll forgive you.
The verses. The parts that talk about the bright lights casting shadows and blinding him i think is him thinking about his life, and how all the good things never come without any bad ones. Then he says "My eyes are shining bright/Cause I'm out here on the other side/Of a jet-black hotel mirror/And I'm so weak" - I think this is a metaphor. It means that he feels so separated from the woman he loves by this "jet-black hotel mirror" which means death, and he can't see past it.
And finally: "I see you lying next to me/With words I thought I'd never speak/Awake and unafraid/Asleep or dead". This is from the point of view of the girl. The patient is telling her he loves her and goodbye. They sit there, she is awake and unafraid of what will happen to her next. The patient is falling "asleep or dead?".

OK... I love this song, I'm not so sure this is about the patient though- I think it may be one of the other characters. The character looks back on his life and wishes he didn't waste it, it just felt like a "lifelong wait for a hospital stay"- and that his life meant nothing to the person he cared for most. |
