This song means The Classic Crime has a really good shot at making it HUGE with mainstream music! The guys themselves are Christians, in fact. But they're not doing praise/worship music here ... they're giving you catchy tunes, great vocals, awesome instrumentals, blood, guts and tears and an amazing album! Bravo!!!! I'd really love to see these guys hit with this album! |

This song is one of the best anti-drug songs I've ever heard! How many young people look to drugs to solve their problems ... and how many find out the hard way that it's a LIE. If you don't want to see it that way, it's fine, but the reference (Straight line is quicker .... etc;) is to cocaine use and the rest is very much about redemption. |

OK ... good point ... I DO know the artist/lyricist and Matt wrote this song for his wife. It's a great song! You can't go to a TCC show in Seattle without hearing the entire crowd singing ALL the lyrics. You can interpret it any way you like of course, but ... it's about love. pure. simple. |

wilybobcat is right on with correcting the lyrics in both places in this song. Although the guys in TCC are indeed Christians, (Yes ... I do know them personally) their music is primarily secular and mainstream. It's also absolutely AMAZING!
I think wily is right in what the song means too ... it's truly about an earthly relationship ... but again, I guess it's up to the listener to decide what moves them. All in all, this song is right at the top of my faves list! |
