To me Its about vicodin addiction after a breakup. "It's a lie, A kiss with opened eyes And she's not breathing back Anything but bother me (It takes my pain away)" This could represent that the drugs just mask the fact that hes miserable, but it doesn't bother him because its better than feeling the pain. "Anyone can say they're above this all" This reminds me of all the people I've heard say they're abouve drugs untill something goes wrong and they end up addicted. |

No this song is about the bay area scene. the bay is full of gangs too, down there could refer to Oakland, San Fransisco, San Jose or down the street. why would he sing about L.A. as opposed to Oakland? Tim armstong was part of op ivy he does all the backup vocals and guitar under the name "Lint" |
