oh cool. i saw these lyrics here yesterday and they were wrong, but i guess theyve been fixed. i liked the first panic record, LOVED pretty. odd., and im loving what the young veins are doing! i hope theres more of this. the panic song is okay; i feel like its missing something. Change is such a great song to start off the new band with...it's so fitting. "in matters of opinion, our rivals are insane"-reference to the split between PANIC? it was definitely necessary, and it looks like the bands are going two completely separate directions. i cant wait to see what happens, but im definitely liking ryan and jon's new stuff more than PANIC's. |

| I really like The Killers, but I could NOT understand Human. I listened to it on repeat and read other peoples' interpretations, but I didn't understand it until I read your explination of this song. Now both the songs make PERFECT sense to me, and they are even more amazing than I thought they were. I don't agree with EVERYTHING you said, but I think what you wrote is pretty spot-on. uhm, i think you got the words wrong. "thinking i'm a wreck" should be "don't think im a wreck" and im not sure, but i think its "think out in rhyme" not "think out in alarm" "and still you're SMALL when you tell me its over" "OR its just begun" not "oh its just begun" |

yeah. i agree with soupnazi. im sorta friendly with the band, so ive been trying to put the pieces of the song together with what i know about andy (lead singer/guy who wrote it). i think him and his girlfriend were on a break earlier this year, so thats what i think its about. dont hold me to it tho. and this song goes hand in hand with my philosophy. "you walk away. you're speaking with your back turned. summer's gone and it left me with a sunburn" summer love is obviously a large part of their music. but what i get from their music is that his relationship with the girl might not have worked out, but he IS going somewhere. she might be driving away to escape, but he's driving away to make a name for himself. |

i love this song. my english class has to bring in poems for different moods this week. today was sad, tomorrow is angry, and so on. im bringing this song in tomorrow. to me, this song makes me frustrated. not the song, but the words and the meaning. am i the only one who sees a connection to the war in Iraq? ive seen a kind of theme of the war in Iraq thoughout the entire CD, and idk if anyone else sees it. |

this song is one of the most emotional songs I've ever heard. i love how you can totally tell alexz puts EVERYTHING into her music. she's so talented. besides her voice, though, i love the lyrics. especially the 2nd verse. "What you had didn’t fit Among the pretty things....Braids have been un-tied Ribbons fall away" i love those lines. and i love the subtlety (sp?) of the braids line. yeah. this song is just so amazing. |

i think the line "and you breathe the windows down" has more meaning than just the whole doing drugs thing. this song is about things that seemed sure aren't really, and in that theme, i think that the quote means like taking down boundaries. the windows, being the boundaries, are rolled down and opening a new horizon. it might just be my optimistic view on the song, but i think it's about the speaker coming to terms with what seemed impossible happening and trying to come over it. |
