| Bloc Party – Song for Clay (Disappear Here) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Actually, even though the meaning isn't precisely this, I always felt this song strongly reminded me of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. If you'd read the book you'd understand the elements that coincide. | |
| King Missile – Take Me Home Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Jesus, this song applies to me so much... | |

Radiohead sounding, isn't it? Amazing, amazing song. |

| Epo-555 – Grisslappan Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Beautiful song, and it seems to be about a relationship from the lyricist's viewpoint. He seems to have met her at first, and he never really got to know her, but by knowing her again, they've fallen in love. Something exactly like that has happened to me recently, really... |

| Pedro the Lion – Suspect Fled the Scene Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The first time I heard this song, it felt like it was about homosexuality to me. "Damning rumors" referring to the (Bullshit) in the bible about condemning the gay to hell, and then "Find a scapegoat fast." Never meant to leave the way you came, the ridiculous gay conversion, and "It won't go away," the fact that you're attracted to males. But that's really just me. It's what came to mind when I heard the song. |

| Pedro the Lion – Diamond Ring Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I'm really getting tired of these relations with imaginary fantasy characters in your guesses as to the meaning of this song. I'm an Athiest, so I'm willing to take a different viewpoint as to what this great song actually means. I don't intend to be too self-appreciating, but if you look at it from the "God" viewpoint, you're going to get a much more shallow answer. This seems to be about a girl constantly rejecting a man, and they would end up having a child. However, she would still refuse marriage, I.E.: The diamond ring. |

| Dream Theater – Hollow Years Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
As an alternate theory, remember the song "Another Day" from their second best album, Images and Words (First best was Awake. After Kevin Moore left, the band went into a downward spiral)? That song generally dealt with Petrucci's father's struggle with cancer. I'm not quite yet sure if he died, I haven't researched that far, but I have a feeling these lyrics refer, possibly, his father "Letting go," or finding an easy out. That's just my two cents. |

| Dream Theater – You Not Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Sadly enough, I have to agree - A lot of Dream Theater's lyrics are complete suck. This is mostly due to Mike Portnoys contributions, though, because he CAN'T WRITE LYRICS. Their earlier work, though? The Mirror and Images and Words lyrics were absolutely fantastic, especially with Kevin Moore's contributions. He was truly the greatest gift to Dream Theater, and so I can't agree to a full length that Dream Theater sucks with lyrics. This song? Heh, this song sucks. The story behind it? The record label wanted them to become more mainstream. Hence why it sucks. |

| Dream Theater – The Test That Stumped Them All Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Delusions of Grandeur taking place here. This man has delusions that he is a rockstar; He thoroughly believes this and the doctors have no clue what to do about it. "Why don't we try shock treatment?" Alludes to dark humor, specifying that they have no clue so they're just going to try something random and see if it works. Seemed such a clear cut meaning, guys. |

| Tool – Sweat Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Shut the fuck up about Hot Karl. He's just trying to get a reaction out of you homophobic dumbass fuckheads. I love Tool, but you truly sound like 12 year olds who can't muster up a good insult. I'm bisexual, so I know a LOT more about gays than you do, even if it's obvious that you're in the closet. Fuck you, douchebags, I hope you get raped in the ass by seven huge-dicked dragons. Anyway, this song is a reference to our original meanings, our real humankind, the primal way of life. It's meaning is hidden deep within the body of all, the human that just wants to fuck every hole it sees and live in trees. |

| Marilyn Manson – Wrapped In Plastic Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Wow, this song is almost as abstract as a Tool song, man. (And the opening riff really reminded me of Tool, as well) This song is pretty well summed up by Target Audience, so I'll leave it for you to read. |

| Marilyn Manson – Dope Hat Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Alright, this song is, apparently, about drugs and a lack of control over most of them. While I tend to disagree (Drugs kick ass and open up a third eye), it's not my opinion whether or not you like them. GoD-Like summed it up. Also, MansonRapist, you're an idiot. There is no such thing as a fucking poser. Stop being an asshole, you're not that important. Just because you want to imagine that you're a "True Fan" of Manson doesn't mean it's true, and because you simply have to display your thinly plated veil of self-importance doesn't mean anyone who doesn't like Manson's older stuff is an idiot, a poser, or any other narcissistic label. In other words, you're not important or great. |
