I think the song is about stop questioning God and just believe in Him/Her without any question. Which in the case of the song, it brings true happiness to those who do. ----- gplpark92: It's cool if you don't like Mute Math, but don't come posting about it. I would probably think the bands you like really suck or whatever, if I knew what they were, but I don't go criticizing this and that about bands I don't like. |

| I think this song is about person(s) trying to persuade a collective agreement from a group of people, by any means necessary, on a matter which benefits primarily the person(s). It makes sense to me since a another song was interpreted as being critical of the current U.S. government. If this song was the case, it would be about the U.S. trying to sell the war in Iraq as the true way to defeat terrorism (which might not be the truth) and every true North American should support it and should participate as well as duty to their native land. | I kinda listened to the song like a boyfriend in a relationship who is in a downward spiral (drugs, alcohol, self-abuse due to problems or whatever) and it is being reflected in the relationship as it is suffering because of it. The girlfriend is trying being positive and advising him to fight through it all with her help, but if he doesn't put in the effort, she won't be able to do anything and their relationship could surely crumble. But, the criticizing the current U.S. administration also sounds plausible to me, too. | |

"Sadly, this is the only good song off of "Life's Rich Pageant.'" Lifes Rich Pageant is one of R.E.M.s best albums. I'd put it as one of their top 5 (or top 3) out of their whole discography. |
