| Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton – Our Hell Lyrics

I always thought that the line "Our hell is a good life" meant that they'd been through a lot of hard times, and through terrible things, but they are happy anyway and are able to deal with it. They've gotten over the fact that their lives aren't perfect. |

Yeah, that's where I saw it. It was done after the break up of JoJ and before scarling., Jessicka was just on vox blah blah blah its all been said |

The lyrics Scotty put are much better. I agree with that first person waaaay up there; kind of saying bye-bye, and for me, its saying bye-bye to something that was bad for you that you held on to anyway. |

Oh the part before the devil's narcotic bit, it sounds to me like something along the lines of "the chicken's pround cause he's got it" or "the chicken pouts cause he's got it" |

I'm not sure about the lyrics, but I really love this song right now as I can relate to it so well. I can't say right out what it means exactly; I'm bad at explaining things.

Who does this song? It's obviously not Kittie. I'm surprised it was never pinned on Jack Off Jill, since the screams sound a lot like Jessicka's. I really wanna know who did this though cause they seem really good! |

| Siouxsie and the Banshees – Poppy Day Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
I think this has something to do with this poem about WWI, by a Mr. John McCrae:
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields. |

I think I like this one just a teeny bit better than Emily's solo version as well. Just a TEENY bit...they both have their ups and [rather small] downs.
I am currently obsessed with this song, although I can't really say I have a good guess as to what its about. |

| Scarling – Can't (Holloween Valentine) Lyrics

For me, Halloween Valentine could refer to a stalker. Then again, just about everything does. But..look at it like this..
Halloween = scary Valentine = love ... scary love? get it? I'm sure that's probably not how its supposed to seem, but thats just how I see it. I think there's some other lines in there that could refer to being stalked and what not, but I'll be quiet now. |

"Cunt" is either JoJ's "Cumdumpster" or that live thing of Jessicka talking. I'm not going to check. Either way, it's not scarling. either. Just as an FYI. |

I guess the Twiggy theory could work, because the person she's talking about appears famous (stuff about him being dashing/gorgeous, people cashing in, etc). But then again, looking at it a second time, all that stuff could be refering to an addiction. It could work both ways..mm I don't know. Now, I shush. |

I just think it's about denial; They pretend everything is okay, but in reality, they're just pretending to be happy, or something that they're not. Just a guess. |

I agree with daisycake; thats how it sounds to me. She says "nazi car" in scarling.'s Last Day I Was Happy too, so its possible she says it here too. |

Fallon wrote it, and I'm pretty sure she sings it too. If you've ever heard Brackish live, with Fallon doing the backing vox, you can tell that is her singing this one. |

I just heard this song on their MySpace and was instantly obsessed. I think it's about the media/celebrities/etc trying to tell you what's cool and what do wear and who to be. Pretty simple. |

AHH; I love the cuckoo's, me and my friend coo at each other all the time. Did this come before So Long, Scarecrow? Or did that one come first. It does seem kind of like a remix, like they were bored or something. It's kind of funny. |

I always thought that part about the dress had something to do with KKK robes or a Nazi uniform. It's hard to play favorites with JoJ, but this is certainly among the best. |

IDK if its been said yet since I don't feel like reading all those comments, but Jessicka said that in Manson's book, he described her as just a roadie, and it sort of hurt. That's kind of what I got out of this song as well; she felt unappreciated, since they were close friends. |

Indeed, strawberry wine. I think it is about people who do things just to seem cool, perhaps they want to appear "different". |

Ooh! This is definately angry for scarling., isn't it? Maybe I haven't heard enough of their songs to be the judge of that, but anyways...
It definately is about heroin, and I think perhaps a person she loved died because of it or something. Perhaps she is an addict now because they died, and she feels abandoned. |

It could be that she is dying, and is afraid of God's judgement or something..idk I'm just guessing. It sounds like perhaps she is in pain, but in music it's usually all metaphorical sorts of pain. Once again, just guessing.. -_-;; |

Yeah, mine says something more like
"Your best friend, yeah we all have a best friend
Your best friend says 'he's no good for you'
Well your best friend, but before you can thank her,
His dick is in her mouth- blech!", on that verse. |
