Ben Folds wrote this song for his son. But if was my graduating class song and therefore means alot to me. It represents a huge milestone in my life and I love it for that. The "it's so weird to be back here" couldn't ring more true, once I left for college, being back home wasn't the same. It wasn't home anymore. My high school firends were no longer there and my college friends weren't as well. |

I guess it's pretty stright forward, its about a girl hes in love with. A person, who when she looks at him makes everything OK and better. It's a beautiful song. |

The only way this song relates to religious ideals is that it is about the artist losing his faith in God and hunamity in general. It's a heartbraking song. I don't know if it was a personal thing that made Mr. Cohen write the song or if someone wrote it for him but the song is 110% about losing faith in God and life in general |

I agree with everyone who says that this is a beautiful song. It's tragic, and haunting, it is overpowering. This song (according to another website) is about the composer (Lenord Cohen I believe) losing his faith. It's about love, God, and him (Lenord) losing his faith |
