Though I think the "where's your baby?" line is about her husband, John, it could also be about their son Patrick who died three days after his birth in 1963. I don't know if Shiny Toy Guns would go so far as to mention that, though. Like I said, I think it's about JFK - but I'm just throwing it out there. |

Having just read William Golding's novel Lord of the Flies I find the lyrics of this song very similar to the book's plot. There's a chapter in Lord of the Flies called "Fire On the Mountain", also the reference of traditions reminds me of the boys clinging to their old life, and the lines "meding babylon" and "trying to right the wrong", to me, really make me think of the boys in Lord of the Flies and how hard they tried to create a Utopia and show that kids could create a successful society.
I don't know. Just my two cents. :) |

I'd have to agree with the previous user. The lyrics for this song are simple as they basically tell the themes and conflicts of the movie Eragon, but at leat they are relevant to the film they were written for.
Jem's voice in this song is absolutely beautiful, especially when accompanied by the instrumental track (complete with movie setting-appropriate instruments). |
