Taking Back Sunday – Follow The Format Lyrics 19 years ago
It's definently an arguement.
I think it is a retaliation to "Another Word For Desperate" By Straylight Run. Lyrically, they are a lot alike.

SR: Then he asked me, "What does that mean?"
Maybe this is John saying that when him and Adam were in the band together, Adam didn't understand a lot of John's lyrics right away( neither did I actually...), the majority of them are metaphors for something else.

SR: "What's another word for desperate?"
In the end of Follow the Format, they say, "Whats another word for-" The first voice is cut off by another saying, "I don't need to hear it from you." Imagine John as Voice 1 and Adam as Voice 2. See what I mean?

SR:"Repitition makes and impression."
I think this is John pointing out how Adam's lyrics tend to repeat the lines a lot. Maybe he's saying this makes Adam's lyrics inferior to his... Adam replies, "It's no mistake if it's always repeated"

The last line of the chorus is: "I won't be around here for too very long." We all know John left TBS...

SR:"So take this medicine, In measured doses"
TBS Replies:"It gets easier with doses of time"

TBS First Line:"Make A Big Scene..."
Adam saying John is making a big deal out of nothing

TBS Last Line:" Show us just how vicious you can really be..."
Adam calling out John, perhaps?

Both bands are amazing, but TBS is definently much better. Adam has a great voice.

Saosin – Seven Years Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm pretty sure this song has a religious theme. First of all, in the bible it talks about how when the world ends, and all the believers are taken to heaven, there will be a seven year period called the rapture, where all the nonbelievers are left on earth, and given a chance to realize their mistakes, and become believers. the I'm sorry i'm sorry i'm not sure line refers to the fact that he is unsure of his faith, which is why he is left behind.

"I Would Find A Way Without You, Tell Him His Eyes See Too Clear"
He's saying he'd find a way to make it without god, and that god is too perfect, and that none of us could be expected to live up to his expectations. in the next lines though, he says that he knows what he is saying is wrong, and he'd never make it without god.

Next verse

"you assured me i'd be fine if i complied"
he's saying that he was told if he believed, he'd be taken to heaven, but he was unsure of his faith, so he wasn't.

I love Saosin. =) I love both singers, they're both amazing...
