ive listened to the song a few times now and i cant help but think he's talking about kind of getting taken in by the glamour of the whole music industry and forgetting his roots, where they came from. as if they've forgotten about their beliefs and what their purpose was in making music. the "seed" is that background that they were raised on and how no matter how far you stray, it is always there. you can't lose it. you'll always come back. perhaps talking of their faith. |

i was sitting here and it came to me that maybe this song is about Mary and her acceptance of the news that she would bear child (Jesus,) and what his life would mean.
