I find it funny that people like Charleh write things like this: "Pantera are one of the only bands that I can truly listen to. I love every single song, every riff, drum beat and lyric. Same goes for Down. Anselmo = God - rocks the pants off any other band." Obviously this song is against pop culture, but it also is stating how easily the fans of pop culture are manipulated by those singers/groups. By coming out and saying Anselmo = God you are doing the exact same thing. Bear in mind one of the final lyrics: "If I was God you'd sell your soul" |

I agree with what DimebagMustaine has said. Yes, I know what is said in the booklet to Reinventing Hell - but it doesnt say that is what the song is about, it just says that was an influence (the main influence being the title obviously). I personally think it was a very well worded rebuttle from Phil. |
