Anyone who finds this song boring isn't paying attention. I had actually never heard this until I saw them live perform it. WOW! With the video on the screen behind them, this song leaves an impact like no other. Very heady, potent and purposeful music. I too, had never been so touched by a song. Lamm has reiterated the point about songwriting over drugs many times. I agree it's about songwriting, but no rock band whoever came of age in the 60s missed out on drugs, even if it was just as simple as coke and wee. Elvis started out as clean as anyone ever did, and I need not finish that story for you. |

Have heard it said this is also symbolic of rising up from the tragedy of Terry Kath's death and moving forward. They wondered if they should disband with Terry gone. Have heard some people say they should have, I don't agree. |
