| Far Apart – Hazel Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Nice effort! However, not quite the verbatim transcription. Hazel After a while she walks into the room, the pockets of her jacket filled with glue into which she has stuffed her fingers. I am stuck, we all get sometimes. And then she smiles, but I just can not read her mind. Sometimes her smile doesn't reach her eyes, and I am trying to say sorry. Do not lie, we all lie sometimes, but not now. I change my outfit everyday, I say those things that I think you would like to hear me say. I do things I normally wouldn't do just to make you let me spend a while with you. Silly me. She lights a fag, and she sits down on the floor. Her face buried in that mass of hair, God I thought I knew her color, I don't, I don't know nothing. So I look up, but it looks like she has left. Worried that she's going to kill herself, but she just went to the bathroom, and I laugh, we all laugh sometimes, just not now. |

| Quicksand – Dine Alone Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Uh, or maybe...just maybe, he's talking about, well, I don't know, the awkward social anomalies associated with dining alone perchance? I'm rather baffled as to what could ever sport the notion of this being about a dinner date with a girl slash prostitute. Honestly, you'll have to dig your fingers pretty deep into the lyric sheet to be able to pull out some deeper sense of ambiguity beyond the paint that drapes the canvas. | |
| Pinetop Seven – Made a Whisper Out of Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Much thanks to TheBM for posting these lyrics. This song, in tone, in heart, in meaning; speaks volumes. For the fear of making an ass out of myself, I'll refrain from making sloppy subjective guesses, seeing how the meaning is fairly obvious and self-explanatory. Despite the fact that I'm not usually into bands like Pinetop Seven, nor particularly fond of this kind of lyrical approach, this remains one of my favourite songs, regardless of genre. |

| Fifth Hour Hero – Cut Me Dead Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| A decent band with simple, eaily relatable lyrics, and maybe a slightly dull, generic sound. Not that impressed by this band, but there's something about this song that caught my interest. I'm not sure what it is, I'm not sure I want to know, as for meaning, when I first heard this song, it seem like the typical "love gone wrong", but now, reading through the lyrics, it could just as easily be about a broken friendship, or possibly parental issues. It's just a poor, uneducated guess though... | |

| Much thanks to autorock for posting these lyrics, not their best song, in my humble opinion, but amazing all the same. | |
| Odd Project – Silver Screen Lovers Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Actually, it has nothing to do with porn. The silver screen refers to motion pictures, or the movie industry in general. My guess is that the narrator feels like the relationship is an act, like their affection is just a play before the gallery. Good song, not too excited about the lyrics though. | |
