| I interpreted "the raincoats" to mean the people at the funeral, the mourners. She sees them coming, and has to go so they don't see her stealing the ring. | |

| The lyrics of this song touch me deeply. It perfectly fits the show to which it was the theme, Fox's "Drive". Drive was about people going to extreme lengths to help people they cared about. It also reminds me very much of "Doctor Who", and The Doctor himself. | |

| I think this song is about a guy whose girlfriend hires a series of hitmen to kill him, but he just shrugs off their attempts as amusing. He doesn't blame his girl for her betrayal, he understands that no one's perfect. He is very easy-going. | |

The line "If you thought that you were making your way To where the puzzles and pagans lay" consistently makes me thing of a hedge maze. |

There are layers of meaning. The first is literal; he buys new shoes, and good things happen. But I think the messae here is that the shoes only serve as a "placebo" of sorts so he can unlock his full potential. "Take me walking through these streets Where bright lights and angels meet" This line really speaks to that, I think. the shoes are metaphorically guiding him, and he can see things that were a;ways there, just were not illuminated. (bright lights meeting angels). And when he wakes up (on Thursday), he finds that he has invited all of his friends over for a party, but he can't remember. Plus, they're all his existing friends, not new friends. I think this song is about re-discovering what you already have. In a nutshell, it has the same message as "The Wizard of Oz". |

| I love this song, and I loved the routine as well (it was my favorite from the whole show). The only problem is, I think the context in which I saw it skewed the meaning of it for me, because now every time I hear it, I think "cool dancing zombies", which I know was the farthest thing from the artist's mind when writing the song. By itself, it pretty much has no intrinsic meaning for me. On an unrelated note, I don't know how to pronounce the artist's name. | |
