Does brian actually sing in this? Doesnt sound like him in the slightest and i cant find any versions where it is him. I figured he might just play guitar? |

From my interpretation the lyrics are .. 'So far it works' instead of 'Its slow but it works' And 'Somebody says spin around' instead of 'talk to me, selves, spin around' I might be wrong. And yeah i agree with sweet prince it does sound like its 'Well i need me more than i need you' Rest are good though well done! |

Love this song. Its so different. Not sure if i got all the lyrics right though. Im unsure as to what its about... but a requiem is a mass for the dead. 'A prayer for the salvation of the souls of the departed, and it is used both at services immediately preceding a burial, and on occasions of more general remembrance.' So that makes sense of the first verse, basically the dead person has no choice but to listen to the organ. Organ could be a metaphor for something or be an actual organ that is played at the requiem mass. Also theres the running theme of the dead 'jerk' deserving death, so maybe they betrayed someone? |

| Placebo – Waiting For The Son Of Man Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Instead of 'packing all the time' the lyrics might be 'packing on the tide' seems to make a bit more sense... but i dont think packing really fits. Hmmm... Anyway i agree this song sounds like its about someone on the verge of committing suicide. Seems to me like theyr looking for a reason not to go through with it, for example when brian sings 'waiting' its as though the person is delaying actually killing themselves. |

Also it could have something to do with the 'Lazarus Phenomenon' Which describes when a person somehow returns to life after they had passed away. That could explain the lines 'now that you're back from the dead' and 'So bored of being alive;' maybe the person didnt want to come back to life? |

I thought it was 'its hard to see you again' instead of horrid. Due to brians tendancy to emphasise certain parts of words.. might be wrong. I agree with twikki. The song does have a lot of christian references, so it makes sense. |
