agreed!!!! wicked song, great build up. i think its about this person, who obviously has problems, but will not talk about them, and therefore - he wont accept them. the bit with "Black-jawed living room couch professor" refers to a councellor or interrogater figure, but is a metaphor for maybe someone close to him who is pushing him for speach. the lyrics have an extremely depressive tone to them, with a large sense of worthlessness "not too amused with humans". depressants often resort to thinking on a large scale like this. also, the first line -
"What was that you just said?
That didn't make any sense to me"
shows he is preoccupied with his thoughts and is perhaps dillusional. |

mr cliche D i think ur right. but i think the "It disgusts me that I could be so petty and weak." part is him reflecting on how he became so angry at HER for cheating (or maybe just sumthing else that upset him), as he "bent" and "broke" her in a rage or sumthing. He's getting confused with himself, maybe he thinks hes over reacting -
"And all these complications, they make me something I'm not."
its because of this scenario that he wants to love her again but cannot articulate his love for her, as it still hurts. Similar lines to 'wrong and sorry' about communication between two people. this band is really good lol. |

ur rite its quite heavy, but they've still managed to use their musical talent so well. the section near the end without any lyrics is a great one and artists often find it hard to maintain an atmosphere without lyrics. the song to me is obviously about a relationship, or relationships in general, but focusses on the complications of arguments - when both persons disagree "its a shit when there's no-one to blame". |
