I think this does have to do with what everyone else has said, but as you'll see in the music video, it has very much to do so with Britney Spears(as it appears to me anyways). The girl in the video gets out of the limosine and you can see up her skirt to her underwear as she leaves the car, and at the end she cuts her hair off like Britney. I don't think it's direct reference to Britney herself, but as said, vanity among girls in our generation as well as "stars" like Britney. |

To me, maybe it is about drug addiction, but all of you must have not seen the music video. They made one specially for amnesty international, it has more of worldwide sense than it does just some druggy that can't get off drugs. Maybe it's worldwide drug use, but i think drugs isn't the only meaning in this. |

I think it is about a relationship that didn't work out. She gave all she could but it left her so sore because she gave so much but it still didn't work out. If it were death of the other I don't she would be sore about putting so much into the relationship. Also, she asks "was it all a waste of time?", if her significant other would have died I don't think she would consider it "a waste". She states "she knew" she would lose "you", unless he had some sort of terminal illness, she wouldn't know that. But it does give you something to think about that maybe they knew he was going to die. Just a thought. |

I was also at the Park City show and it was awesome. They played this and he did say it was about his son. But it mainly just says how he will protect him, whenever his son needs him he'll be there, whatever he needs him to be, he'll be. Soon everything will make sense for his son, and his son will know why he does the things he does as he gains more wisdom and he hopes his son will have courage to do things in life. |
