| Adam's voice doesn't sound as good as the Louder Now version. But otherwise than that I just think that Adam is amazing at writing this song. It's like as if he was the Mr. Fantastic [or whatever his name is] character and from his point of view. "We can't go back, can't go back..." I think refers to the people not being able to return to their normal state. Overall, the lyrical structure and emotions behind it is great. | |

| I personally think that people should stop complaining how TBS is better when John Nolan was around. John Nolan is now the past and probably will never come back to TBS, but TBS is doing just fine with or without him. Sure, Louder Now and Where You Want To Be isn't the Tell All Your Friends type, but I think that TBS's music has matured over the two albums. Adam's voice has matured and less raspy. This song, "A Decade Under the Influence", is what I think one of their very best songs. The lyrics are really strong and matured. They show strong emotions about Adam's feelings. Taking Back Sunday is doing perfectly fine with Fred instead of John. | |
