i cant shake the feeling that this song is about a relationship "I have, I have you breathing down my neck, breathing down my neck" -i think this is describing him hugging a girl, i cant decide if i think she is crying and just breathing hard or if she is just not sad when he says about the ambulence and being on the floor i think that just a symbol of what is to come because they are leading downhill aka "under this condition" im thinking maybe dark blue symbolizes the nighttime and being lonely during the night, also being alone in a crowded room means being with many people but not with the person you really wanna be with. and when he says about the world burning that says he doesnt care about what else is happening he only cares about her. "And this flood, this flood is slowly rising up, swallowing the ground Beneath, my feet. Tell me how anybody thinks under this condition. So I'll swim, I'll swim as the water rises up, sun is sinking and now All I can see is the planets in a row suggesting it's best that I Slow down. This nights a perfect shade of..." the flood is whatever conflict is making the two people be away from eachother, and he says hell swim as in he wont let the conflict take over him and hell keep swimming to get through it. i have no clue what the boxing for stars is but it is sung in a hopefull and joyus tone which to me means it might be a reference to something that happened to reslove the conflict between the two people. overall this song can be interpreted many different ways so its hard to tell what the song is about. |

| To me this songs message is that you should do things right the first time so they don't come back and haunt you. And i think the song is about a person who made a mistake and lied about it "You swear you recall nothing at all" and instead of confessing and fixing what he did wrong he tries to forget it aka "You made up your mind to leave it all behind" and then the persons problem caught up to them. i rly like this song because it has a great message for people who make mistakes. | |
