To me, it sounds like it's about unrequited love. Dreaming of angels= loving x, y, and z about some person. Leaving without them= not actually getting to act on that love. Something like that. |

To me, this song is the singer pleading to an ex to let him move on, because he doesn't have the strength to push her away himself. "If you love me at all, don't call."-- If you care about my feelings at all, you'll let me go. She's always dragging him back to his feelings for her, and because its empty on her part but full of feeling on his, it's a cruel thing for her to do ("you rip my heart right out"). But sometimes he still wishes that he had enough of her heart left to really lose her again (kind of going along with idea that you can't lose what you don't have). |

I think this song is about someone who wants to move on from a person they sued to love. They keep trying, but the person keeps pulling them back. "If you love me at all, you won't call." It's like.. if you ever cared, you'd ignore me, leave, let me get on with my life.
that sort of thing.
But at the same time not wanting to forget the past. |
