| In addition to what woahwoahwoah said, the song might be referring to Birmingham, England, not Alabama. | |
| Flogging Molly – Death Valley Queen Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
After reading what Hemlock said I developed a theory: If you look at the lyrics "So Death Valley Queen go marry your King" you'll see that the word "King" is capitalized like a name. Now this could be totally off, but maybe Dave 's mom had a male caller who she turned down for Dave's dad who would be King. Maybe Dave heard this story and was just inspired to tell the story of a down trodden suiter. |

I'm pretty sure that this verse: On the Queen Anne's Revenge Skull and bones and a serpent's head Are dancing with the madmen On the Queen Anne's Revenge Have a gargle with your demons and me Is a reference to Blackbeard's flag, which was a devil (madman, or demon) with a glass and a spear in it hand. It also looks as if it could be dancing, especially if it was waving in the wind. |

| Well, if they ain't punk i sure as hell like what ever they are. Amazing band. But yea technically they are punk, but I alos agree with those saying we shouldn't label music. If it plays a note its music, and whether its good music or not is up to the individual. | |
