lol...okay guy.
I assume this is a troll, there's no way you were able to convince yourself of any of that^ nonsense.
Mumford and Sons use God as a metaphor, which is basically all the term is even good for anymore. They use far more literary references and as they would say "rip off Shakespear" far more than they care about proselytizing as you would have us believe. |

Mumford and Sons IS an indie group...seriously, take two seconds and check before spewing nonsense. I bought their CD here in New York, and the label they use here is Glassnotes which is an independent label...so despite them signing with Universal for wider releases they still have definitive indie ties. |

As with all music, its open to interpretation, while the artist may feel one way or mean one thing by the music, they are always open to people looking at it differently and music can mean many things to many people. The christians need to stop shoving their beliefs down people's throats here and open their minds to some other interpretations. |

My interpretation of this song is someone trying to become their own person and decide for themselves what they want to be and trying to resist the pressure from outside sources to conform to their beliefs. |

This song is truly epic, one of the best on the album, and thats saying a lot! The lyrics aren't incredibly cryptic, its obviously about a nonconformist, someone who doesn't want to just blend in and be normal, someone who wants to stand out and be their own person and doesn't want to be ridiculed for not being part of the crowd. Great song... |

I think this song speaks about suicide and about how its important to look ahead and not back. Talks about falling stars draining every night, I think this is like shattered dreams being discarded, things that seem so important one day will seem like smaller matters later on in life.
Another take on the song is that the falling stars are the beliefs and ideals of the country slowly being siphoned away from us.
Thats my initial take on the song. |

Amazing song, To me it speaks a lot about how each of us have a responsibility in keeping the world progressing for future generations. Also says a lot to me about how each of us has the power to change things for the better. |

| KoЯn – Evolution Lyrics

"Do I deserve to die" was one of the lines that really made me think this was centered around religion. Many religions, such as christianity think they are unworthy of life and that their god is so gracious just for giving them life. This line is questioning that.
I don't know how anyone could look at the lyrics and not think this was about Evolution and Religion.
And as far as Jon being a hypocrite the tour buses they use aren't even a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. If this song was about Global Warming than its obvious the reference would be to the vehicle production companies that continue to produce vehicles that get 10 mpg when they could just as easily produce vehicles that get 75 mpg. They don't because of the captive market the Oil Industry has on the world. |

A cyanide is a chemical compound with a carbon atom triple bonded to a nitrogen atom. Cyanide is commonly used in movies and its effects are exaggerated. Strong, Acute doses can lead to coma and death due to the paralysis of the lungs in minutes. Not seconds as many movies lead you to believe.
The song, Is obviously about suicide. I think SoulRapist summed it up rather well. |

I think its about somebody who is, I dare say, a "Poser" Someone who pretends to be something they are not. Another take is that someone who was formerly a friend has changed and is vain and full of themselves.
Something like that... Not really sure though. |
