im usually really good at understanding songs.. but this ones COMPLETELY baffled me.. i got a text saying "while seein is believin sometimes looks can be decieving so when i tell you im through with you dont be fooled i'll be six feet under when im over you" at like 4am.. an it got to me so i googled the lyrics and found this song.. its reeally confused me. tfeng8 has a really good point but not all of it im relating back to :S someone please help :[ xoXOx |

this is MY interpretation of the song.. [sorry for the spelling] its like hes going through the motions of when a boy has just been told by a gurl that its over or she doesnt want to be with him anymore. the first verse is like the gurls just told him she doesnt want him anymore but shes spun him a line [something like 'its not you its me'] - "those words at best were worse than teenage poetry..". then the same verse goes onto him saying "stop it.. you cant make them want you.." as if hes telling her to stop being silly and telling her she does want him and if she doesnt no-one else will want her. then the chorus "litterate and stylish.." hes stating all the things hes not and suggesting thats what all gurls want because thats what hes not. "you have it or you DONT.." is like hes repeating what the gurl has said to him, he doesnt have it. "you see how much time you're wastin?" is like hes telling her shes being silly and again that she does want him. then the second verse seems a little more complex.. its kind of like now that hes made it big [on stage] and that him voicing his oppinion has became popular rather than being "kissable and quiet" shes realised what shes missing and hes realised what hes not missing "well lets just say i got what i wanted..". "i got the mic and you got the mosh pit" hes the one people are listening to and shes just another face in the crowd "what will it take to make you admit that you were wrong?" also supports that point. then its like shes finished him for another boy and broke him down the same way she did to himself. the third verse is like hes realised what shes like and basically doesnt want to know her anymore and at a push even couldnt care if she was dead for what she did to him "and my eye through the scope down the barrel of a gun.." so he still feels hurt for what she did to him, "remind me not to ever act this way again" - remind him never to be so bothered about a gurl like her. "this is you trying hard to make sure that you're seen.." suggests that shes trying to make him jealous [i dont understand why girl though] and he knows her tricks however it might be working because then he repeats "remind me not to ever think of you again" because hes still hurting over it. then the "you've had your chance and folded, dont hold your breath" i think is like hes sayin shes had her chance and blew it all without even giving him a chance so with that hes saying if i wasnt worth the chance neither are you so dont hold your breath for a second chance.. as i said MY interpretation.. :] |
