This is a song picking on arrogant pseudo-Christens who believe that they are holier then those who deny their beliefs. I think they are particularly picking on the Roman Catholic Church (hint of a bloody past) Id like to point out that the Holy Bible teaches that all man are utterly sinful and that all need reparation. Also i believe that you don't instantly become holy. There is a concept called sanctification which has a usage which says that Those who are saved will become more righteous(but never totally) after accepting Christ for your sins. |

| one thing i picked up is the well amalgamated christen themes in this song. i haven't worked out is why they are comparing a romance to The crusafiction of Jesus ofthe bible. | |

"Testify today's contradictions," of course they make no substaintionation for this. "The incarnation of your prostituition, the true evil in disguise" Calling Jesus a result of prostitution and the true evil . Again i fail to see any substintiantion, these are 'blind' claims. "The shame that will be guarding your grave says it all" this one is intresting because it can be taken to ways. ie The chistian beliver is scared to die because they supposivlly know that chisitanity is a lie. and/or it is an attack on jesus himself that is he remains in his grave. "Devour in self-deceit" obviously supporting thier view that chisitans must deny the truth to hold their postion. I dont belive this is so. I Do adimt it is a musiclly brillient song though i think it is misleading and a strawman of christianinty, like most attacks. |
