| Robert Pattinson – Let Me Sign Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This song was NOT written for Twilight. I know it may be hard for some of you to believe that he had a career before Twilight. He's done better movies. |

| Robert Pattinson – Never Think Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
This may come a shock to Twilight fans, but these songs that Robert recorded were not exclusively written for the movie. He recorded them before he probably ever even heard of Twilight. Give him some credit, really. |

| Tegan and Sara – I Know I Know I Know Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Totally about my high school relationship. Haha. We dated and then broke up three times and are currently apart. But, there's still something there. :[ Makes me sad, but I love this album. |

| Alesana – A Most Profound Quiet Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Or the tale of Bluebeard... You know. He's killed about seven wives and then the eighth discovers the body. He tries to kill her, but then her brothers come to save her. Not sure though. |

| Alesana – The Uninvited Thirteenth Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I don't think it's a bad ending to Sleeping Beauty. I'm not sure though. But it is definitely about Sleeping Beauty, hence the title and all that mess. Haha. |

Actually, traciii's explanation does make sense if you point out that their would be alternating speakers. Besides the general theme of the cd, I think, involves fairytales and legends...hence the title. I could be wrong though. |

| Alesana – As You Wish Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Lovely, beautiful song. It reminds me of "Twilight", but I think it is only because I'm reading the book. You know how that works. |

| Emilie Autumn – Shalott Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
It is pretty obvious this song references "Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. It does not get any more obvious than that. In Arthurian legend, the lady of Shalott had the name Elaine of Astolat who died of unrequited love and such. It is neither about Guinevere, nor Sleeping Beauty. |

| Straylight Run – It's For the Best Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Honestly, I do not think the song is so much about religion, as it could be about spirituality/faith or even a break-up. It's more about giving up perhaps on anything, maybe everything or even nothing in particular. It doesn't really matter what the person who wrote the song wrote it about, does it? It matters what the songs means to you personally, or at least I feel that way about lyrics and such. |

| Colin Meloy – Barbara Allen Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Wait, sorry, "'Twas round and about last Martinmas tide" | |
| Colin Meloy – Barbara Allen Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The first line should read, "It was in and about the Martinmas tide" Well, at least I think so. |
|
| Lily Allen – Smile Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Well, you are taking the song to seriously. It isn't meant to glorify anything. It's just one of those songs you listen to when you're mad at a boyfriend or an ex. Lighten up. It's just a song. Has it affected your life? Are you paying someone to beat up an ex? | |
| Regina Spektor – The Virgin Queen Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I'm nearly positive this song is about Elizabeth I. headless mother=Anne Boleyn heartless father=Henry VIII And don't say it's not...because it is. Just kidding. I've never heard this song before though. Now I want to hear it. |

| The Decemberists – The Bagman's Gambit Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I was reading over some of the other explanations. And I read over the lyrics. And a lot of you missed something sort of crucial, "capitol", "national mall"...this couldn't be in Russia. It's most likely set in Washington D.C. But, yeah, that's already been pointed out. | |
