That it is a cover from XTC is not at all a missunderstanding or the intention to ruin this song. In fact, it is probably kind of a satire on this song. As you said, the original is an anti-religious song while this one here obviously tries to keep mankind to its faith. Aparrantly Shootyz Groove is a faithful band and as this version says: "Who am I to judge or question your existence?" In the buddhism part the protagonist thinks about changing his religion but comes to the conclusion that everywhere he stands is Mecca so he does not need other religions. Hail @ Christianity blah blah blah. The message is that even if it is sometimes hard for you you never should question your religion because belief is one important thing. After all there is no reason to curse god for mankind's mistakes. This way even the references to XTC's version make sense (especially the last part about the bible). |

Crotofago: I think your interpretation is the most retarded thing I've seen in a long time. |

I think it's about a dead prostitute who now comes to hell for her bad behaviour ^^ At the beginning it's about her being put six feet under then the question: "cause who's going to love you now that no one can penetrate you" - so she probably was left on her own her whole life. Might be explained by her selfishness (selfish cunt), but that might also be a reference to God. I'm unsure about it. I don't know what to do about the development from "there isn't any way she has to pay" and "anyway she has to pay". Maybe we on earth think she will get to heaven but God isn't the same opinion and sends her to hell and later everyone she affected with her behaviour: "cause you can't save anyone from her first love to her bastard son for all of the things that she's done" btw. FIRST and great song |

| Electric Six – Germans In Mexico Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Not that we Germans have any interest in invading Mexico ... I like the song anyway as long as you see it as a joke. What sometimes is hard to believe by E6s despite towards Germany. | |
| The Draft – Wired Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Oh and in addition to that. I think I heard "Shake every time when I leave this town." not "sick". | |

I think it is "cough when I breath", not "when I leave" Anyway, I have no idea what it is about. |

I think it is about a sex orientated relationship, where he is "abusing" her for his wish to f***. "I'm late for dinner but look who's on the menu 'Cos when I'm in a hurry nothing tastes as good as you do" He is late, so he does not have to come in time. He is in a hurry, so it is kind of a "quickie" "Whisper in my ear all your culinary wishes Next thing you know you're washing the dishes" She wants more than this or wants to say what is to be done but in the end he will always be the one who commands. "Your table is ready for me I'm happy to seat you" Especially the second line should be clear. "I trained at the very best kitchens in france My service is slow and I hope this doesn't offend you" maybe a reference to French kissing or his style of flirting or something and the second line is maybe about his service being long and slow ^^ "If music be the food of love, play on But I'm really too hungry for just one song" So he wants always more Some things don't fit in, but it is the only option I can think of. |
