She was looking for hope. The man she wanted had a dream of her being perfect but she can't be. She fooled herself that she could. She was skinny, but it tore her apart. Not sure about the bird bit, but bird may be refering to female. Like, I thought I'd be a perfect girl, but I'm just hiding under a paper bag...? It is a hae/love ana relationship, she wants him so bad but he won't clean her up. She tried to make him love her, but he was so caught up in his childish dreams of the perfect girl. |

I agree that she is talking about someone who is perfect on the outside and all that, but at the same time- the music video makes fun of pop idols, how flashy and fake they are, maybe it is also partially that. Also, in depression, many people hide under this mask of happy perfct people. Maybe that is hinted there, too. |
