i'm glad someone finally replied i agree completely. that was the line that stuck out to me, also, and i do think it has to do with christ. the idea that it's about how carelessly people live today rings true too. thanks |

i think the narrator met and fell in love with a girl, then she left. She wrote to him, and he misread some of the things she said and thought that she returned his love (Rosy, the lines that you wrote with your hand/ Reading between them to misunderstand), though she had warned him not to do that. so he went after her, and she told him that she just wanted to be friends (Now you just told me that friendship is all) he's crushed, but he realizes the "time will cure me". beautiful song. her voice is so clear and lovely, and the lyrics and music are just perfect. i could listen to it over and over a zillion times and not get tired of it |

great, as usual, because the classic crime is awesome talk about dispelling apathy! i love the fieryness of the lyrics and his voice and the music and everything. you can't listen to it without feeling at least a little excited but i'm a little confused--who is he addressing? satan, maybe? that's the vibe i'm getting |

| Mute Math – Break the Same Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think it means that we're all human. and human things like emotion and suffering teach us that despite petty differences we were all made of the same clay. | |

awesome song. awesome band, i saw them in houston no one's commented on the meaning yet, so i thought i'd make a suggestion i think--like some other christian-mainstream bands--the subject could be interpreted as God or a girl. Either way, the singer has fallen so in love with God/the girl that he realizes what love truly is. he "notices his heart". "I can't believe i've never noticed my heart before" |

| Fair – Pause Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Fair – Carlessness Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i love this band. lyrics, instruments, all beautiful. but their lyrics are the biggest enigma. i really don't understand them at all. I wish someone would comment and elucidate... | |
