The point about the video clip is very interesting, but I have always understood it to be about ending a relationship, being upset about it, but it being a necessary step. "I'm over these feelings" countered by "I want you" seems he is torn between loving this person but needing to get away from them for his own sanity/happiness. I think wev'e all been in this situation |

According to Flynn's prelude to this at a love gig, this song is about lack of action and rebellion from normal citizens when they see injustice. As in, see something bad happening, don't protest, leads to further injustices. This is apparent in the chorus but it's pretty hard to interpret this from the verses. |
