Texas – Mothers Haven Lyrics 19 years ago
Very powerful song! It could be spiritual, or about love...a lot of possibilities, really.

Texas – Insane Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is amazing, and I think is often way underrated. It has swanky instrumentals and of course Sharleen's soulful and sexy voice, plus the beautiful lyrics.

Texas – Inner Smile Lyrics 19 years ago
This song could mean a lot of things, but mostly it just makes me feel ECSTATIC! Honestly, it's gotten me out of a lot of dark moments in my life.

Texas – In Our Lifetime Lyrics 19 years ago
This is a cheery, unabashed love song! Nowadays a lot of songs complain about love, but this one is all about appreciation of it!

The video is indeed very sexy. I like the song because it's so confident and teasing.

P.S. I absolutely LOVE the pause after the third chorus, then "Tiiiimmmee....."

Texas – I Don't Want A Lover Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is a classic! I love it, although the lyics could be taken a few different ways. I relate to it because I used to be in love with someone (unrequited), then went away for a year, and when I came back I felt so much stronger and wasn't about to let that person step all over me anymore. Very empowering!

Texas – Black Eyed Boy Lyrics 19 years ago
Black Eyed Boy is amazing! It has a very lively motown type of beat, but the lyrics are haunting. Whenever I listen to it (about every day) I am torn between wanting to get up and dance and feeling like I'm being watched. The video is also fantastic. To me it's very inspiring because it makes me want to stop running from myself and accept who I am, knowing that someday I'll find my own place in the world. It's reminiscent of the saying, "Wherever you go, there you are!"

Texas – Beliefs Lyrics 19 years ago
This is a very powerful song; I think the lyrics are fairly self-explanatory, but to me it's about recognizing that everything is subjective and we shouldn't force our opinions on others (i.e. tolerance). Although it was written in the early 90's, it definitely applies to current affairs.
