by lambchopsaretasty on 12-11-2006 @ 12:49:56 AM ... I think this song is talking about how Justin wants to bring sexy back. He feels like the media controls the way people perceive "sexy" too much, and that is very wrong. It doesn't matter if you are black, white, yellow, or purple. You can be sexy too. That is what Justin is trying to get across to all of us. I really respect Justin for creating such a moving and incredibly powerful song. When I played this song for my parents for the first time, they were glad that I listened to such a talented and empowering artist. ---- Bahaha. I love sarcasm. Justin Timberlake is sooo creepy. Please, everyone, stop listening to this garbage. |

There are some comical comments here, especially regarding the lyrics. But in all seriousness, I do actually think this song is saying something more. I take it as sort of a mocking of all the top songs in this genre. The lryics are ridiculous, and bad on purpose. She's proving that she could literally be talking nonsense and still have a top single. It shows the state of the music industry right now, and it's been like this for a while. She accepts that, and decides to just go with it. It's a good dance record, and I think that's her main goal - so why not have fun with it? She's poking fun at herself and the ridiculous songs that become #1. And despite the line, "This shit is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S!" there are much worse songs. This is a good song. I love it's sarcasm. |
