| I know this is late, but I agree with I Dont Love You. the beginning of the song reminds me of a Disney Movie too. I dont understand, but I can see a queen from I dont remember which disney movie, and when it says we watched our lives on the screen, it just brings an image to my mind of three guys laughing at one of those old movies where they have the big roll of film on the screen from the 70s or whatever. It's a disney movie that comes to mind on that screen too. | |

| while i doubt that what guybrows said is true, I do believe that Sheryl Crow is a bitch. Just like Madonna with American Pie, she messed up a classic song. The fact alone that the song was covered in "She"s and not "He"s should have been hint enough that the song was not meant for her mouth. | farewell, I think that Line is "Stay together 'til the very end," not buryin'. Either way it makes sense, though, and is approxamately the same amount of time. Also, you all say this song reminds you of your special someone, but are you all like me, where your special someone is a HUGE Guns N' Roses fan? I just feel that if I could play regular guitar, rather than bass, or if I could sing to save my life, that this song would be completely appropriate for her, even if she is a little shy. | |

I feel compelled to put my... input in..... Anyway, I've never heard this song until i played Guitar Hero II after getting back from the states in November. I liked the song, even though all I could really hear through my concentration were the first verse and the chorus I thought maybe what was going on was that the kid woke up and went downstairs only to find his parents gettin freaky on the couch. Maybe when he talked to them the next morning, they were flustered with wrinkled clothes or something. Then, what I got was that he understood the process of sex fully, and it was basically saying with the line, "Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away," was that you should surrender to sex (whenever you're ready) but not to the point where you lose control, either by getting a guy horny to the point where he rapes you, or where you wind up pregnant or with some other infectious growth that isnt a kid. But that's just what I think. |

Can everyone agree that AK is a crazy, wild person? Because if you all can, then this may make sense to you: It's rapping at the beginning of the song, with an AK twist. You know, like how you can play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the piano and add some chords to make it sound like a rock song, or a depressing song? Anyway, Blondie sang the first ever rap song, so to say "White-Boy Rap" is specifying that it is not about hos or gangstas, and it's not about how much they hate Kim, like Eminem sings.... Seeing as the original rap song was sung by a white woman, it shouldn't be degrating to say "White-Boy Rap" |

I just gotta say... why would somebody come to a site where people post theories about songs, and talk about how much they hate the band, or the song? It makes no sense to me, and I would really appreciate it if someone would explain it. Also, about the murder/suicide theory, I believe he was murdered. I dont think it was someone close to him, but i do believe that with 1.52 milligrams per litre of heroine in his body, he could not pick up the gun to kill himself, let alone stay concious. Also, the gun was found laying across his body, but the hole was in the side of his head. With the recoil of the gun, it would have gone back and been laying beside him, not on his chest. The "suicide" note was a retirement letter. The only lines that hinted suicide were the last four, saying for Courtney and Fraces to keep going, but these lines were in a larger size than the rest, and those lines were not in his hand. And for those of you who say Courtney loved Kurt, and he loved her, how could anybody love a bitch who steals their songs, changes the titles, and uses them as her own? One time, Kurt even said that Courtney had called the police and told them he locked himself in the bedroom with a gun, when he'd only gone in there to hide from her. This is what I think the song is about, (i.e. And I swear that I don't have a gun...) Kurt was even quoted in saying that he hated Courtney, (and with good reason, the slut!) and that he only stayed with her for Frances. |

You all suck! If you really think Cobain killed himself, you are wrong! He was found with 1.53 ml of heroin per litre of blood in his system. With that much heroin, there's no way he could never pick up the shotgun that killed him! Plus, in his "suicide" note, if you read it in another light, it actually talks about him wanting to retire. The only lines that hint suicide are the last four, and handwriting specialists find those lines questionable as to whether or not it was his. Also, somebody had tried to use his only credit card, which Courtney had cancelled to keep him from buying something to hurt himself, four days after his death, and i don't think someone would come walking into his house, go upstairs, say, "Hey, look, Cobain died! I'll take his wallet!" They had to have killed him and then took it. If you don't believe me, I have a video on my myspace. | You know, I'm reading page two of this list of comments, and I have to say, some of you people are lucky to be living in the south. I'm from both Mexico and Alabama, (my dad's mexican, my mom's alabaman,) but I never lived in either of those places. I don't have an accent which I would like very much, I don't know the term used for a coca-cola when you want one, and I only know how the people in Alabama are from visiting my grandparents. I love this song, and I consider it my anthem as any 'baman should, but until my dad retires from the military in a year in a half, I'm stuck in Italy. Also, for those of you who like Freebird over this song, one: post a comment under that song, and two: Freebird gets kinda tedious after you've played it on two player mode on Guitar Hero with a friend who loves the song, and wants to try it on expert. | |

| Pollyanne, I don't get it... They sound exactly the same to me in Dark Light as in Love Metal, just with a few touch ups. If you want a drastic change, listen to MY Chemical Romance's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and then their next album, which came out a year later, The Black Parade. That is frustratingly drastic, although I still like both CDs. Anyway, I think HIM is the same band they were in their garage in Finalnd, after their first album, after they came to America, and after they hit number one on American charts. | |

It signifies the contrast between good and evil, love and hate, life and death, darkness and light, even heaven and hell. Actually, I read that HIM went with His Infernal Majesty, because it sounded cool, but dropped it BECAUSE people thought they worshipped the devil. They went with HIM, but released one of their albums as HER for some legal purposes, something about another band, and then changed it back to HIM again. The song, I also read somewhere, is about symbolism, as whoever said it had said. I think most of us can agree that butterflies are beautiful creatures because of all the magnificent patterns on their wings. To rip out the wings of a butterfly would be to destroy beauty. That's why when I have to say something truthful to someone and don't know how to put it nicely, I say, "Weel I don't mean to rip out the wings of a butterfly, but..." As for the rest of the song, I have no idea, but i like all of yours. |
