| Placebo – 36 Degrees Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"Shoulders toes and knees, I'm 36 degrees" He says it himself- he is just a human being with shoulders, toes and knees, with a normal body temperature. I don't know actually. I've always been confued about what it means. If the guys from Placebo ever read all these posts, I bet they'll have a good long laugh together. I bet it actually means something really simple. Or maybe it doesn't mean anything at all.. |

| Nirvana – The End (The Doors cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| WOW!!! I swear, I really thought I have heard everything Nirvana has recorded, but this cover comes as a shock to me! I really, really want to listen to it!! | Nirvana – Dumb Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song always makes me very melancholic. Sort of bohemian as well. When he says: "I tink I'm dumb, or maybe just happy" I always think how people don't understand happiness. This is one of my favourite Nirvana songs ever, since it's the first one I've heard by them. | |
| Nirvana – Do Re Mi Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| The part where he goes: "don't rape me" always makes me really depressed. I love this song a lot. it's one of my favourites from "with the lights out". And it really doesn't matter if he sang Do Re Mi or Dough Ray Me. wtf people? I think it really didn't matter for Kurt what people get out of it, it's a song, we all have our different interpretations of it- that's the point behind it: associate yourself with the music and the lyrics somehow... if you feel better thinking he is singing Dough Ray Me and if it makes sense to you, why should it matter if other people don't agree. It is a very pointless discussion. | |
| Kimya Dawson – Nobody's Hippie Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"and say you're my hippie i'll say i'm your hippie we'll giggle and cuddle and always be happy we'll never go crazy we'll never feel crappy we'll never feel crappy we'll always be happy" These lines always, always make mevery happy! Not exactly happy... maybe nostalgically melancholic is the right definition. Beautiful! I keep being amazed at the simplicity of Kimya's song and how much more complex they are in comparison to other, more "musical" pieces of work. Her music just gives me hope. Makesme realize I am sad, but at the same time it gives me power to figt the sadness. Fantastic! |

| Jason Molina – Long Desert Train Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is one of Molina's best songs ever! It' made me cry many, many times... it's simple beauty!!! Molina is one of the greatest poets of our time... I really have no words to explain all the emotions this whole album( Pyramid Electric Co.) gives me. Listen to it! Over and over again. It's absolutely brilliant!!! | |
| Bright Eyes – Poison Oak Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"The end of paralysis, I was a statuette Now I'm drunk as hell on a piano bench And when I press the keys, it all gets reversed The sound of loneliness makes me happier " These four lines have made me cry so many times. It is the climax of the song. It's amazimgly bautiful. " The sound of loneliness makes me happier".. I swear, Conor is a genius and knows how to get to people's hearts, by just revealing his own. Beautiful. |

| Bright Eyes – If Winter Ends Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| All Bright Eyes' songs are pure poetry...everything is a metaphor, everything is beautifully said in just a few lines. I really associate myself with almost every song by Bright Eyes I have heard...I can always cry to this song, it just makes me reall sad. I love it. | |
