I listen to this everyday, and I after reading others responses, I do think that this song is about an addiction to a drug. Just read the lyrics, especially the first line:"The medicine is blending in it's in the blood with oxygen"..everyone knows that when you do drugs/drink that it gets into your bloodstream. Then the song goes on to basically explain how they would have never thought that it would go this far and even though they know how bad it is, they have no choice but to "follow where she leads into the darkness." Until he can "cut through ribbons of self doubt and figure himself out" |

I absolutely love the song. It basically sums up my life. But it makes me very sad and forces me to remember the memories I would try so hard to forget......yet it doesn't allow me to, and to an extent thats beautiful in itself because who would want to forget? |
