| My Chemical Romance – The Ghost of You (Reverse) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
the first time i listened to it, it scared the shit out of me... instantly wherever its being played, the place becomes heavier and darker...i love mcr, but this song reversed carries so much negative energy i definitely think it was intentional, it is just too perfect to be a coincidence |

| Straylight Run – Existentialism on Prom Night Lyrics | 18 years ago |

i don't know what this song is about, but i love it nonetheless its my favorite straylight run song, and has been since the first time i listened to it for me, its the ultimate SR song so beautiful |

| My Chemical Romance – Demolition Lovers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I haven't read all the posts, so maybe i'm repeating something someone already said, but isn't this song and most of bullets really written about Gerard's gf that died? The "K" he mentions in the cd booklet is her, and i think she OD'd or something like that...im pretty sure thats the story anyway, this song is AMAZING! everytime i listen to it, i come close to tears...his voice, is just raw emotion, you can feel the desperation and the pain. i dont know how he does it, its just...amazing! theres not enough words to describe this songs mcr are truly extraordinary |

| The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – In Fate's Hands Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| in fate's hand is the name of the band elias and another band member had before joining the red jumpsuit apparatus. the song goes along with the title, like how ronnie and the others found people who have the same dream as them. | |
| The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – False Pretense Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| and the question remains...who killed ronnie?? | |
| The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – Face Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Hey girl you know you drive me crazy one look puts the rhythm in my hand. a wild guess, but could this mean this girl inspires him to write this song? and possibly others? this song is obviously about domestic abuse...ronnie winter, the vocalist and lyricist suffered from domestic abuse when he was younger i love this song, but i don't like the videos version, without the screaming |

| Fall Out Boy – Thriller Lyrics | 18 years ago |
i haven't read all the comments, so i may repeat something someone said before in an interview, pete said the title "thriller" is the wittiest ever because they are comparing themselves to michael jackson's thriller, or they are mocking in some way the song. and if you think about it, its true. about it being about the internet, i don't know. it could have some relation, but the point of the song is different. it reflects their journey since the beggining of fob. So long live the car-crash heart Cry on the couch all the poets come to life Fix me in 45 the first line i'm not sure...the lines that following are about pete going to therapy. the couch is him waiting at the therapist's office, and that's where he writes most of his lyrics, hence all the poets come to life. the third line is him hoping that the 45 minute session is worth something. Crowds are won and lost and won again But our hearts beat for the diehards here is how fob grew over the years. they started out by making many fans, then losing them after FUCT came out and hopefully winning them again after IOH. but the ones that they treasure the most are the ones that were always with them since from the start, no matter what happened. one more thing, at the beggining, behind the jay-z part, patrick and pete are reading bad stuff that were written about them in magazines and in the internet. if you really pay attention, you can hear some distant voices. awesome song |
| Fall Out Boy – Bang the Doldrums Lyrics | 18 years ago |
skettio, i'm impressed, you have figured out the song completely. your explanation fits perfectly just one minor correction, its not patrick that sings the tombstones part, its pete, which makes it even more bitter, since he is singing about his own experience. the yellow checkered part, to me sound like he is with her off to do something bad, but in a good way. very sneaky |
| Fall Out Boy – The (After) Life of the Party Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this is such an amazing song...it blew me away. it is too deep to figure it our completely...here are some ideas it does has references to third eye blind's slow motion. it relates to the hollywood party scene, and the use of drugs, along with being another person to fit in. Cut it loose Watch you work the room means someone in a party, being exactly what people want them to be, just to be accepted Oh, put love on hold Young Hollywood is on the other line Her nose runs ruby red Death's in a double bed Singing songs that could only catch the ear of the desperate the first two lines could mean he puts jeanae aside to hook up with crazy celebrities such as ashlee simpson, lindsay lohan, etc. also how he gets sucked in to the hollywood scene, and how attractive and glamorous it may seem. the third line is definitely about someone doing coke. the last line could maybe directed to us? how desperate we are with our problems, and how their songs calm us down. |
| Fall Out Boy – I've Got All This Ringing in My Ears and None on My Fingers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
the beginning of this song reminds of the 80s big hits, like its raining men seriously, listen closely and don't kill me for saying this |
| Fall Out Boy – Hum Hallelujah Lyrics | 18 years ago |
this song has nothing to do with teenage romance or girls...it is about his attempted suicide, just look at the lyrics hum hallelujah, as many have said, is a reference to jeff buckley's (cover) hallelujah. it was playing on the radion in his car when he took the pills. i agree that it is us who "hum hallelujah" because pete is alive and well, we didn't lose our hero, so to speak. And you are the dreamer And we are the dream I could write it better Than you ever felt it this is to us fans, because fob is all we think about and how they wrote previously, how they are our therapists. they can express in words literally better than what we are feeling. genius line I thought I loved you It was just how you looked in the light some people mentioned that this could be how the pills offered him the easy way out, but then he realized how he needs to face his problems, and not run away from them, hence attemting suicide. A teenage vow in a parking lot "Til tonight do us part" I sing the blues And swallow them too allegedly, he tried to kill himself in a car in a parking lot. the second line could mean death. he sings the blues, hallelujah on the radio, and swallows whatever medication he took And one day we'll get nostalgic for disaster this line represents how fob is today, calm and trying to be good boys because of what happened to pete. very sarcastic saying they will miss getting into trouble. Sometimes we take chances Sometimes we take pills another wise line. you can either go on with your life, no matter how hard it is, or take the easy way out=suicide |
| Fall Out Boy – G.I.N.A.S.F.S. Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i think the line Trade baby blues for wide eyed browns means how pete prefers jeanae over ashlee simpson i don't know, just a thought, does jeanae even have brown eyes? if she did, the could fit perfectly |
| My Chemical Romance – Cancer Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| gerard sounds so much like ozzy osbourne in this song...amazing one by the way | |
| Bowling for Soup – High School Never Ends Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think this song is a little more deeper than just about hating high school...it is a critique to the hollywood scene, and how everyone is obsessed about the celebrities these days. he uses famous names here to support this idea...the famous are the popular kids, and we who follow every move they make are the losers, just like high school. | |
| Fall Out Boy – Thnks fr th Mmrs Lyrics | 19 years ago |
okay here's what i think this song means: after reading every post i think this is about chris and the whole letter he posted online for pete. the lines "And I want these words to make things right, But its the wrong's that make the words come to life" mean that pete wants to make things right with chris, but it is the hard times that he goes through that gives him such awesome lyrics then "Who does he think he is? If that's the worst you've got, Better put your fingers back to the key." is a direct response to the letter, like he's saying to chris that that wasn't the worst he could say, and he should try again writing bad things about pete, like hitting the keyboard once more. the chorus i think is related to pete and chris gf fooling around. like a one night stand hence "thanks for the memories, even though they werent so great" then the closer reference is to the gf cheating on chris with pete. "They say I only think, In the form of crunching numbers, In hotel rooms, collecting Page Six lovers" this is referring again to chris letter, like how pete is a sell out and a fraud, how he doesnt care about his fans or anyone anymore. the page six lovers is definitely referring to his affairs with stupid celebrites ie ashlee simpson, lindsay lohan, michelle tratchenberg and the list goes on... this is a great song, and not so much what i would've expected from fall out boy... ps- for the title, i would say it has no vowels because of the whole internet language, which the fight between both originated |

| The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – The Acoustic Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| it's a love song...so beautiful | |
| Dashboard Confessional – The Sharp Hint Of New Tears Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i don't know if anyone said this already (too lazy to read everything) i think this song is basically what the concept behind dashboard and its name is about. the line "this car hears my confession" sums up everything i love the lines You're owning up to nothing and I wish that I was gone, cause you're not going anywhere it describes exactly how i feel right now towards a "friend" such a great song! |

| Cute Is What We Aim For – Risque Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i agree with the tank when i first heard it i thought he was talking about a cheap slut, not a whore precisely, and that he liked difficult girls (pricey) i think birds on my ears means his friends are saying a lot of stuff to him about this whore and devil on a shoulder means he has bad intentions towards the girl or whore |
| Cute Is What We Aim For – There's A Class For This Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i really like this song and despite what everyone said about it being about drama, i think its some sort of riddle | |
| Brand New – Okay I Believe You, but My Tommy Gun Don't Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is definitely about adam... "Oh we're so c-c-c-c-c-controversial" this quote is mocking adam. once he said he likes to make fun of himself by stuttering on lyrics |
| Taking Back Sunday – Spin Lyrics | 19 years ago |
missgolitely i completely agree with you! adam once stated "i hate the word rock star. All that shit in the 80s died there and it needs to stay there". and i also love TBS, FOB, Brand New, Straylight Run. colderthanyou, some songs that TBS talks about Straylight Run could be -follow the format -slowdance on the inside -i'll let you live -i am fred astaire and from straylight run -another word for desperate -mistakes we knew we were making -its everybody's fault but mine(tbs responded with follow the format) -your name here i'm not sure about these, but i think must can have somethings hidden, i hope it helps well, does anyone know where i can get the original version of spin? |

| Fall Out Boy – Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| pewbey, its not that the lyrics don't make sense...they won't when you put it that way. of course they make sense, pete wouldn't write a song that wouldn't make sense. or would he? well, i don't think so. i love this song, it shows just how much fob means to me. i think its about their fans, and how we relate to them, and what they mean to us. i love how pete has a gift with words | |
| Fall Out Boy – Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year Lyrics | 19 years ago |
We're the therapists pumping through your speakers Delivering just what you need so true, and what's worse Cause I'll keep singing this lie if you'll keep believing it also true |
| Fall Out Boy – The Carpal Tunnel of Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
for you people who are saying that screamo isn't fob, they've always done a bit of screamo in their songs!! saturday, i slept with someone in fall out boy, the pros and cons of breathing, are some examples of this. i don't know what this song is about, but i like how this ain't a scene and carpal don't sound alike. i can't wait for the new cd to come out, these two songs are just the preview for what's really coming |
| Fall Out Boy – This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is such a great song, its so different...thank god they didn't write another FUCT or tried to recreate TTTYG. the video is awesome, it is their best so far. well, as for the meaning, for the people that said that it was a response to TBS Spin, i couldn't agree more. although i think that there's more to it. i think they are mocking (like other people said before) the kids that only listen to them because its on mtv. like the whole "now you" thing. but going back to the TBS thing, when he says "Crashing not like hips or cars but more like p-p-p-parties" Adam once fractured his hip, and could only perform sitting. i don't know if they crashed any cars, but it would make perfect sense if they did. also the p-p-p-parties could be mocking Adam, because he sometimes likes to stutters when he sings. just my opinion. |
| Taking Back Sunday – Number Five with a Bullet Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song makes me laugh, he is being so sarcastic in the first line. i think they're trying to have sex, but something always goes wrong, therefore "we're gonna die like this you know" | |
| Taking Back Sunday – Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i really like this song, it should've been on the cd. this song gets me confused about its meaning. at first it looks like a love song, but then it gets into the whole 9/11 stuff. i think adam makes a reference to it to portray something else, to give a bigger impact. i dunno | |
| Taking Back Sunday – Little Devotional Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| about the lady and gentleman part, adam once said in an interview that he is attracted to girls who are ladies; that know how to act, that don't show too much skin, that has self respect, that kinda stuff. he also said that a nice guy is a gentleman, that treats women good, like opening doors, etc. i think he gets disappointed with the girl, since she was always "such a lady, i've always been impressed" and she was probably easy. and he is the gentleman is this case | |
| Fall Out Boy – Homesick at Space Camp Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i think this song is fob singing or talking directly to their fans. peter always refers to the fans in his journal as "you". i know this song is old, and it probably isn't it, but i like to think it is. also, in his journals, when they are not touring he writes how he "misses you'. so the "we miss you" part could be about the fob missing the fans, and wanting to go on tour. also, "Tonight the headphones will deliver you the words that I can't say. Tonight I'm writing you a million miles away. " he's saying how he can't be with his fans, but in way he is, through their music. the next lines "And I can't forget your style or your cynicism, somehow it was like you were the first to listen to everything we said. " is about those people who already knew fob before they got famous. the title also makes sense, since peter once said how he feels home when he's on stage. that's my interpretation of the song, but i could be way off. anyways, i like it a lot |
| Taking Back Sunday – Twenty-Twenty Surgery Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i love this song! it is so catchy, so upbeat. i think you guys may be over analyzing it. i don't think he's talking about comestics, but it is related in a way. | |
| Taking Back Sunday – Lost And Found Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| at first i didn't like this song, but it grew on me. it is such a beautiful song... i can totally relate with the situation. the song is pretty much self explanatory | |
| Say Anything – A Walk Through Hell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i just started listening to SA, and as huge fan of Taking Back Sunday that i am, i realized that the words "sundays best" are in one of their lyrics. this phrase also appears in Brand New's Soco Amaretto Lime. in taking back sunday's song, this phrase is there for a reason (the whole fight thing, which i'm not going to get into). it may have nothing to do with either TBS or BN, but i just thought i should point it out. | |
