sad stuff. Thanks to playitloud253 for saying that, cause I had no idea who Timothy was. But that's really really sad.
I know that some people believe that if someone, even a believer, commits suicide that they won't get to Heaven. So I think that the guy writing about this is talking about how he'd "rather believe [hell's] some imaginary place,
Made up to make children behave" so that he can just assume that Timothy's in Heaven. Sad. |

(xhapaboixx, I love the book "Velvet Elvis" a lot, and I know what you're talking about, but I don't think that applies here.)
And I think the lines "All the love I want to give gets caught between every rib what does that make you?" is talking about like what Paul said in Romans: "When I want to do good, there is evil right there with me." And the part that says "What does that make you?" is really cool, cause I think it means like if this person can't act out his love for God, then what does that make God to him?
Paul also says "What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?" So I think that's where "Wrong Body" came from. |

I love how this song picks up right after "New Sun" like a continuation of the story.
But I think the "she" is some sort of sin that the guy keeps coming back to, and that the tides are forces he feels are beyond his control that keep bringing him back to "her."
And the line "Regret once kept from her door
but every time wore off more and more" I think talks about how his conscience wears down every time he comes back to "her." |

I totally think it's about a guy who is getting distracted from God in his life, and that something else is taking God's place in his heart, "Soon she'll become my new sun, She's stealing her light from the old one"
and that the guy is getting tired of acting spiritual when he doesn't have the intentions of loving God. cause he "just want[s] to look right" so he's been acting. |

I love the line "I think our God isn't God if He fits inside our heads" cause it totally makes sense that the created shouldn't be able to even comprehend the crazy-awesomeness of the Creator. |

totally, and the part where he says "I see the light, but the dark is so accomidating" is awesome and is like the guy seeing that even though he's livin a sinful life, and he's sees the light and how he should live, it's comfortable where he's at. Oh, and I love this song, it's like one of my favorites ever. :) |

| Emery – The Party Song Lyrics

ya, it's definitely about a girl cause it says "a little girl in a shrinking world" and ya, it's totally about her trying to deal with her father having died and turning to drugs and alcohol, meanwhile the narrarator is telling her to stop cause "This will end bad if you don't get this right" and "cause you could die tonight." So ya, it's pretty NOT-vague, which I think is weird for Emery, and their sound is more unoriginal I think, but you can still tell it's them and their sick-nasty skills. :) |

Man, when he says "I know she's waiting for me" it almost made me cry cause it's totally hard sometimes to be patient and wait for "the One" and believe that they're "waiting" for me too.....(sigh) such a good song... |

I read some where that this song was about kidnapping someone or like being on a killing spree or something creepy like that. Makes sense, but I'm not sure if there's a deeper meaning that I'm missing..... |

Ya, it's defintely about her, but I don't really get the "this womb it will survive" part, cause she had adopted a child, and also Miss Havisham died after the fire (though not in it, so that could be it.) Right? |

Seriously, in the beginning, he's talking about remembering it: "I've been up at this all night long. I've been drowning in my sleep. I've prayed for your safe place," and that's him praying that his girlfriend is okay in heaven. gosh, I'm gonna cry again..... |

Man, I can't believe nobody knows! It's so totally about a guy losing his girlfriend in a car crash! Hello! "I made sure you were buckeled in, now you can walk hand in hand with Him" and he's totally talking about God there. So, I definitely cried when I figured that out, so don't feel bad..... |
